Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the UpStart Components Replacement Remote Control, designed for VIZIO Smart TVs and compatible with models like XRT112. This remote is a direct replacement and does not require programming.
Setup
1. Battery Installation
The remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries (not included).
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Press down on the tab and slide the battery cover off.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
- Slide the battery cover back into place until it clicks securely.

2. Initial Use
This replacement remote control is designed to work immediately with compatible VIZIO TVs without any programming. Once batteries are installed, point the remote at your TV and begin use.
Operating Instructions
The remote control features standard buttons for TV operation, along with dedicated buttons for smart TV functions.

Maintenance
Battery Replacement
Replace batteries when the remote's performance degrades or it stops responding. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new AAA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
Cleaning
To clean the remote control, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, lightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.
Troubleshooting
- Remote not responding:
- Check if the batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace old batteries with new AAA batteries.
- Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote control and the TV's infrared sensor.
- Make sure you are within the effective range of the TV's infrared receiver.
- Specific buttons not working:
- This remote is designed to be compatible with VIZIO TVs that originally used the XRT112 remote. Ensure your TV model is compatible.
- Clean the remote's surface, especially around the unresponsive buttons, to remove any debris that might be preventing proper contact.
- Remote is not an OEM product:
