Troubleshooting
- No Power to Camera:
- Check the circuit breaker to ensure power is on.
- Verify all electrical connections are secure and correct (black to black, white to white, ground to ground).
- Cannot Connect to Wi-Fi:
- Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signal. The camera does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
- Confirm your smartphone is connected to the 2.4GHz network during the setup process.
- Move the camera closer to the Wi-Fi router or consider a Wi-Fi extender if the signal is weak.
- No Video Playback or Recording Issues:
- The Micro SD card may be corrupted or faulty. Try reformatting the SD card via the app.
- If reformatting does not resolve the issue, replace the SD card with a new, high-quality (U3-level) Micro SD card.
- Ensure the SD card is properly inserted into its slot.
- Excessive Motion Alerts / Too Sensitive:
- Adjust the motion detection sensitivity settings within the RCA Security App to a lower level.
- Define specific motion detection zones to exclude areas with frequent, non-threatening movement (e.g., trees swaying).
- Lights Not Activating:
- Check motion detection settings and sensitivity.
- Ensure the light control in the app is not set to 'off' or a low brightness level.
