2. Safety Information
Please read and understand all safety instructions before using this product. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
- Indoor Use Only: This device is intended for indoor use in dry locations only. Do not use in wet or damp environments.
- Electrical Rating: Do not exceed the electrical rating of 15A, 1875W, 125VAC. Overloading the device can cause overheating and fire.
- High Power Devices: For large power rating devices over 1000W, such as air conditioners or room heaters, it is recommended to plug them directly into a duplex wall outlet. This product is not suggested for such high-power appliances.
- Grounding: Ensure the wall outlet is properly grounded. This surge protector requires a grounded 3-prong outlet.
- Children and Pets: Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Disassembly: Do not attempt to disassemble, repair, or modify the unit. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.

Components:
- AC Outlets (x6): Standard 3-prong outlets for electrical devices.
- USB Charging Ports (x2): For charging USB-powered devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets).
- Night Light: LED light ring around the central outlets.
- Light Sensor: Detects ambient light levels for automatic night light operation.
- Touch Sensor: Controls night light brightness and manual on/off.
- Stabilizing Post: A plastic post on the back for secure installation into a wall outlet.
4. Setup
Follow these steps to properly install your POWRUI Wall Charger Surge Protector:
- Identify a Suitable Outlet: Locate a standard duplex wall outlet (two vertical outlets) that is properly grounded. Ensure there is sufficient space around the outlet for the unit to fit without obstruction.
- Check Compatibility: This product is designed to fit perfectly against standard duplex and decor outlets. It is not compatible with USB receptacles or GFCI outlets due to the wider spacing required for their reset buttons and USB ports. The plastic stabilizing post on the back may need to be cut off for use with these types of outlets, but this is not recommended as it may affect stability.
- Plug In the Unit: Align the prongs of the POWRUI unit with the top outlet of your chosen wall receptacle. Gently push the unit into the outlet until it sits flush against the wall. The groove at the back of the unit is designed to ensure a perfect, gap-free fit against the wall.
- Secure the Unit (Optional): The stabilizing post helps secure the unit. Ensure it is properly inserted into the lower outlet's ground hole for maximum stability.

5. Operating Instructions
Using AC Outlets and USB Ports:
- AC Outlets: Plug your electronic devices directly into any of the six AC outlets. The wide spacing (2.1 inches) between outlets allows for larger power adapters without blocking adjacent ports.
- USB Charging Ports: Connect your USB-powered devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets, smartwatches) to the two USB ports using their respective charging cables. The smart USB ports provide a total of 2.4A output for quick charging.
Operating the Night Light:
The integrated LED night light offers both automatic and manual control options:
- Dusk-To-Dawn Sensor (Automatic Mode): The night light will automatically turn on when ambient lighting becomes insufficient (e.g., at dusk or in a dark room) and turn off when sufficient light is detected (e.g., at dawn).
- Touch Sensor (Manual Control): The night light features a touch-activated button to adjust brightness or manually turn it on/off.
- Tap once: Activates the night light at the 1st brightness level.
- Tap twice: Increases brightness to the 2nd level.
- Tap three times: Increases brightness to the 3rd (brightest) level.
- Tap four times: Turns the night light off.

6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your POWRUI Wall Charger Surge Protector, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Disconnect the unit from the wall outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or abrasive cleaning agents, as they may damage the unit or pose an electrical hazard.
- Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, disconnect it from the power source and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the unit for any signs of damage, such as frayed cords (if applicable), cracked casing, or loose connections. If any damage is observed, discontinue use immediately and contact customer support.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your POWRUI Wall Charger Surge Protector, refer to the following troubleshooting guide:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power from AC outlets or USB ports. | Unit is not properly plugged in. Wall outlet is not functioning. Surge protection has expired. | Ensure the unit is securely plugged into a live wall outlet. Test the wall outlet with another device. If the surge protection has expired (Safety Shutdown Technology activated), the unit will no longer provide power. Replace the unit. |
| Night light does not turn on automatically. | Ambient light is too bright. Light sensor is obstructed. | Ensure the room is dark enough for the dusk-to-dawn sensor to activate. Check that the light sensor (small circle on the top face) is not covered. |
| Night light does not respond to touch. | Incorrect touch sequence. Sensor malfunction. | Ensure you are tapping the touch sensor correctly (refer to Operating Instructions). If the issue persists, contact customer support. |
| Unit does not sit flush against the wall. | Incorrect outlet type. Obstruction behind the unit. | Ensure you are using a standard duplex or decor outlet. This unit is not designed for USB or GFCI receptacles. Check for any wires or objects preventing the unit from sitting flush. |
