Setup

1. Bluetooth Connection

The scanner supports HID, SPP, and BLE modes for Bluetooth connectivity. It can be easily connected to laptops, PCs, mobile phones, tablets, iPhones, iPads, and POS systems.

  1. Ensure the scanner is charged.
  2. Scan the "Bluetooth Pairing" barcode from the included manual (not provided here, refer to physical manual).

2. 2.4G Wireless Connection

For devices without Bluetooth or for a more stable connection, use the 2.4G wireless dongle. Compatible with Windows XP/7/8/10, Mac OS, and Linux.

  1. Insert the USB dongle into an available USB port on your computer.
  2. The system will automatically install the necessary drivers (Plug & Play).
  3. The scanner will automatically connect to the dongle.

3. Wired Connection

Connect the scanner directly to your device using the provided USB cable. This mode also charges the scanner.

  1. Connect one end of the USB cable to the scanner's charging port.
  2. Connect the other end to a USB port on your computer.
  3. The scanner will function as a wired device and begin charging.

Operating Instructions

Scanning Modes

The NT-1228BC offers three distinct scanning modes:

  • Key Trigger Mode: The scanning light activates only when the trigger button is pressed.
  • Continuous Scan Mode: The scanning light remains constantly on when the scanner is powered, allowing for continuous scanning without pressing the button.
  • Auto-induction Mode: The scanning light remains off until a barcode is presented in front of the scanner. It automatically turns on to read the barcode upon detection.

Upload Modes

Choose between two data upload methods:

  • Instant Upload Mode: Barcodes are read and immediately uploaded to the active file or application on your connected device.
  • Storage Mode: All scanned barcodes are stored in the scanner's built-in memory. This mode is useful when out of range of your connected device. Data can be uploaded in batch later. The scanner supports storage of up to 100,000 barcodes.

Programmable Configuration

The scanner can be configured to meet specific data formatting needs:

  • Add custom prefixes or suffixes to scanned data.
  • Delete specific characters from scanned data.
