3. Setup and Charging

3.1 Initial Charge

Before first use, ensure the trimmer is fully charged. Connect the provided USB cable to the charging port at the bottom of the trimmer and plug it into a compatible USB power source. A full charge takes approximately 8 hours and provides up to 45 minutes of cordless run time.

3.2 Attaching/Detaching the Comb

The trimmer comes with an adjustable comb for various beard lengths. To attach, align the comb with the trimmer head and gently push until it clicks into place. To detach, press the release button (if available) or gently pull the comb away from the trimmer head.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

To turn the trimmer on or off, slide the power button located on the front of the device. The indicator light will illuminate when the trimmer is active.

4.2 Adjusting Length Settings

The Havells BT5100C offers length settings from 1mm to 17mm, with 0.5mm precision for a zero trim look. Use the comb lock function on the back of the trimmer to select your desired length. Slide the comb up or down to adjust the trimming length, then lock it in place to prevent accidental changes during use.

4.3 Corded and Cordless Use

This trimmer supports both corded and cordless operation. You can use it while it's plugged in and charging, or enjoy the freedom of cordless trimming for up to 45 minutes on a full charge.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Trimmer

To maintain optimal performance, clean the trimmer regularly. Detach the comb and the blade head. Use the provided cleaning brush to remove any trapped hairs from the blades and the trimmer body. The detachable head can be rinsed under running water for thorough cleaning.

5.2 Lubrication

After cleaning, apply a few drops of the provided lubrication oil to the blades. This helps ensure smooth operation and extends the lifespan of the blades.

6. Safety Information

• Clean the product only using a cloth which is slightly dampened in water or a mild soap solution.
• Do not use a hair dryer or a heater to dry the trimmer, as this may deform the product and cause mechanical failure.
• Never use a caustic solution for cleaning.
• Never submerge the trimmer in water.
• The trimmer may become warm during operation and/or charging. This is normal.
• Never tamper with moving parts.
