Setup

Battery Installation

The Hyper Tough 1504 Infrared Thermometer requires 2 AAA alkaline batteries for operation. These batteries are typically included with the product.

1. Locate the battery compartment cover, usually on the handle of the device.
2. Slide or unclip the cover to open the compartment.
3. Insert the 2 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Initial Power-On

Once batteries are installed, the device is ready for use. Simply press the trigger to power on the thermometer and begin taking measurements.

Operating Instructions

Taking a Measurement

1. Point the infrared sensor of the thermometer towards the surface of the object you wish to measure. Ensure there are no obstructions between the thermometer and the target.
2. Press and hold the trigger button. The display will illuminate and show the real-time temperature reading.
3. Release the trigger button to hold the last measured temperature on the display. The device will typically power off automatically after a short period of inactivity to conserve battery life.

Understanding the Display

The digital display shows the temperature reading in either Fahrenheit (°F) or Celsius (°C). Refer to the device's specific buttons or settings (if available) to switch between temperature units. The display may also show battery status indicators or other operational icons.

Note: Infrared thermometers measure surface temperature. They cannot measure internal temperatures of objects or through transparent surfaces like glass.
