3. Setup and Assembly

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.

3.2 Assembling the Handle

  1. Insert the upper handle into the main body of the cleaner until it clicks securely into place.
  2. Ensure all connections are firm before proceeding.

3.3 Filling the Clean Water Tank

  1. Remove the clean water tank from the appliance.
  2. Unscrew the cap and fill the tank with warm tap water (max 40°C) up to the indicated fill line.
  3. Add the recommended amount of Hoover cleaning solution as per the solution's instructions.
  4. Securely replace the cap and reinsert the tank into the appliance until it locks.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Preparing the Area

  • Vacuum the area thoroughly to remove loose dirt and debris.
  • Test a small, inconspicuous area of the carpet or hard floor for colorfastness and surface compatibility with the cleaning solution.

4.2 Cleaning Carpets

  1. Plug the appliance into a suitable power outlet.
  2. Press the foot pedal to recline the handle.
  3. Turn on the appliance. Select the desired brush speed (High for normal cleaning, Low for gentle cleaning) using the 2-speed brush control.
  4. Press the solution trigger on the handle and push the cleaner forward slowly over the carpet, applying cleaning solution.
  5. Release the trigger and pull the cleaner backward over the same area to suction up the dirty water.
  6. Overlap passes slightly to ensure thorough cleaning. Repeat until the dirty water being extracted appears clean.

4.3 Cleaning Hard Floors

  1. Ensure the hard floor attachment is correctly installed.
  2. Follow steps 1-5 from 'Cleaning Carpets', adjusting the brush speed to 'Low' for gentle cleaning on hard surfaces.
  3. For spill pick-up, select 'Off' on the brush control and use the suction function without brushes rotating.

4.4 Using the Cleaning Attachment

  1. Connect the stretch hose and wash tool to the designated port on the cleaner.
  2. Ensure the main cleaning head is disengaged or lifted.
  3. Apply solution and suction using the wash tool on upholstery, stairs, or car interiors.
  4. After use, disconnect the hose and tool, and clean them thoroughly.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your appliance.

5.1 Emptying and Cleaning the Dirty Water Tank

  1. Remove the dirty water tank from the appliance.
  2. Open the tank and pour out the dirty water.
  3. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water.
  4. Allow the tank to air dry before reassembling.

5.2 Cleaning the Brushes

  1. Remove the brush assembly cover.
