Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the grill plates, raclette pans, and spatulas with warm, soapy water. Wipe the main unit with a damp cloth. Ensure all parts are completely dry before assembly.
- Placement: Place the raclette grill base on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation and safe operation.
- Assemble Grill Plates: Choose either the reversible cast aluminum grill plate or the granite grill stone and place it securely on top of the heating element base. The reversible plate offers a grooved side for searing and a flat side for delicate items.
- Power Connection: Ensure the adjustable thermostat is set to the 'MIN' position. Plug the power cord into a standard North American 120V, 60Hz electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
Preheating
- Turn the adjustable thermostat knob to the desired temperature setting (MIN to MAX).
- The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the unit is heating.
- Allow 10-15 minutes for the grill plate or stone to reach optimal cooking temperature. The indicator light may cycle on and off as the thermostat maintains the set temperature.
Using the Grill Plates
- Cast Aluminum Grill Plate: Use the grooved side for grilling meats and vegetables to achieve sear marks and allow fat to drain. The flat side is suitable for cooking crepes, pancakes, or eggs.
- Granite Grill Stone: Ideal for slower cooking and retaining heat, perfect for searing meats, seafood, and vegetables. For best results, lightly oil the stone before placing food.
Using Raclette Pans
- Place cheese, pre-cooked ingredients, or sauces into the individual raclette dish holders.
- Slide the pans into the designated slots beneath the main grill plate to melt cheese or warm contents.
- Use the color-coded spatulas to remove food from the raclette pans.
The Artestia Raclette Grill provides 1500W of power for efficient and even heating across both the grill plate and the raclette pans.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Artestia Raclette Grill.
- Always Unplug: Before cleaning, ensure the appliance is unplugged from the power outlet and has completely cooled down.

- Raclette Pans and Spatulas: The raclette dish holders and spatulas are dishwasher safe for convenient cleaning.
- Base Unit: Wipe the stainless steel base unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base unit in water or any other liquid.
- Storage: Ensure all parts are thoroughly dry before storing the appliance. Store in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting
- Appliance Not Turning On:
- Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Ensure the thermostat knob is turned to an 'ON' position (not 'MIN').
- Grill Not Heating Properly:
- Verify the thermostat is set to a higher temperature.
- Allow sufficient preheating time (10-15 minutes).
- The indicator light cycling on and off is normal, indicating temperature regulation.
- Food Sticking to Grill Plate:
- Ensure the grill plate is adequately preheated.
- Although non-stick, a very light application of cooking oil or spray can be used if needed, especially for the granite stone.
- Excessive Smoke:
- Ensure the grill plates are clean and free of old food residue or excessive oil.
- Some smoke may occur during initial use due to manufacturing residues; this should dissipate.
