Operating Instructions

General Operation:

  1. Ensure the tool is properly assembled and connected to a suitable power outlet.
  2. To start the tool, press and hold the 2-way safety switch (1) and then squeeze the main trigger (2). The tool will only operate when both are engaged.
  3. Release the main trigger to stop the tool.

Using the Hedge Trimmer:

  • Attach the hedge trimmer head.
  • Adjust the head angle using the "Head Rotate Button" for optimal cutting position (from -45° to 90°).
  • Hold the tool firmly with both hands, utilizing the shoulder harness for support.
  • Move the trimmer smoothly along the hedge, ensuring the blades cut through branches up to 16mm thick.
  • Avoid forcing the blades through thick material; this can damage the tool and cause injury.

Using the Chainsaw:

  • Attach the chainsaw head and ensure the oil tank is filled.
  • Adjust the head angle as needed (from 0° to 30°).
  • Hold the tool securely, maintaining good balance.
  • Allow the chainsaw to reach full speed before engaging with the branch.
  • Make cuts smoothly and steadily. Be aware of kickback, especially when cutting with the tip of the bar.
  • Do not attempt to cut branches thicker than the chainsaw's capacity.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your tool. Always disconnect from power before performing any maintenance.

1. Cleaning:

  • After each use, clean the blades of the hedge trimmer and the chain/bar of the chainsaw.
  • Remove sap, debris, and dirt using a stiff brush and a damp cloth.
  • Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.

2. Hedge Trimmer Blade Care:

  • Periodically lubricate the hedge trimmer blades with a light machine oil to prevent rust and ensure smooth operation.
  • If blades become dull, they can be sharpened by a qualified service technician.
  • Always use the blade cover when storing the hedge trimmer.

3. Chainsaw Chain and Bar Care:

  • Regularly check the chain tension. Adjust if too loose or too tight.
  • Ensure the oil tank is always filled with appropriate chain lubricant during operation.
  • Sharpen the chain regularly or replace it when dull. A dull chain can cause kickback and inefficient cutting.
  • Inspect the guide bar for wear and burrs.
  • The Oregon chain (25cm) is designed for durability, but proper maintenance is key.

4. Storage:

  • Store the tool in a dry, secure place, out of reach of children.
  • Always attach the blade cover to the hedge trimmer before storage.
  • Ensure the power cable is neatly coiled and free from kinks or damage. Use the cable hook for tidy storage.
