WARNING: Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
3.1 General Safety
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and protective footwear.
- Never direct the water jet at people, animals, electrical equipment, or the appliance itself.
- Keep children and bystanders away while operating the pressure washer.
- Ensure the work area is clear of obstacles and has adequate drainage.
- Do not operate the pressure washer if the power cord or other important parts are damaged.
3.2 Electrical Safety
- Connect the pressure washer only to a properly grounded outlet.
- Do not use extension cords unless they are rated for outdoor use and are properly grounded.
- Never touch the plug or outlet with wet hands.
- Always unplug the unit from the power source before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
3.3 Water Supply Safety
- Ensure the water supply hose is securely connected and free from leaks.
- Do not use hot water with the pressure washer unless specified by the manufacturer.
- Avoid running the pump dry; always ensure a continuous water supply.
4. Setup
Follow these steps to prepare your pressure washer for use.
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage. Retain packaging for storage or transport.
- Assemble the Spray Gun and Lance: Connect the lance to the spray gun handle. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
- Connect High-Pressure Hose: Attach one end of the 5-meter high-pressure hose to the outlet on the pressure washer unit and the other end to the spray gun handle. Tighten connections firmly by hand.
- Connect Water Supply: Attach a garden hose (not included) to the water inlet connector on the pressure washer. Ensure the garden hose is connected to a reliable water source. Turn on the water supply fully.
- Connect Power Supply: Plug the pressure washer's power cord into a suitable, grounded electrical outlet.
- Purge Air from System: Before turning on the power, squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to allow water to flow through the system and expel any trapped air. Continue until a steady stream of water emerges from the nozzle.
5. Operating Instructions
Once the unit is set up and air is purged, you can begin operation.
- Starting the Unit: Turn the ON/OFF switch on the pressure washer to the "ON" position. The motor will start.
- Automatic Stop System: The Ingco HPWR14008 is equipped with an automatic stop system. The motor will only run when the spray gun trigger is squeezed and will automatically shut off when the trigger is released. This conserves energy and extends pump life.
- Using the Spray Gun: Aim the spray gun at the surface to be cleaned, maintaining a safe distance. Squeeze the trigger to start the high-pressure water flow.
- Adjusting Spray Pattern: The lance may allow for adjustment of the spray pattern (e.g., from a narrow jet to a wider fan spray) by twisting the nozzle or changing nozzles. Refer to the specific lance design for details.
- Cleaning Technique: Start cleaning from top to bottom, working in small sections. Keep the nozzle moving to avoid damaging surfaces.
- Shutting Down:
- Release the spray gun trigger.
- Turn the ON/OFF switch to the "OFF" position.
- Turn off the water supply at the tap.
- Squeeze the spray gun trigger to release any remaining pressure in the system.
- Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
- Disconnect the garden hose and high-pressure hose.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your pressure washer.
- Cleaning the Unit: After each use, wipe down the exterior of the pressure washer with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Check Connections: Periodically inspect all hose connections and electrical cords for wear, damage, or leaks. Replace any damaged parts immediately.
- Nozzle Cleaning: If the spray pattern becomes irregular or pressure drops, the nozzle may be clogged. Use the included nozzle cleaning tool (if provided) or a thin wire to clear any debris.
- Storage:
- Drain all water from the pump, hoses, and spray gun before storing.
- Store the pressure washer in a dry, frost-free environment. Freezing temperatures can damage the pump.
- Coil the high-pressure hose and power cord neatly.
