1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

Always follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury. This chiller is designed for indoor use only. Do not operate the unit with a damaged cord or plug. Ensure proper ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating. Keep children and pets away from the chiller during operation.

• Electrical Safety: Ensure the unit is plugged into a grounded outlet. Do not immerse the chiller in water.
• Placement: Place the chiller on a stable, level surface. Allow adequate space for air circulation around the unit.
• Water Connections: Ensure all water connections are secure to prevent leaks.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Active Aqua Water Chiller.

1. Positioning the Chiller: Place the chiller on a flat, stable surface in a well-ventilated indoor area. Ensure there is at least 6 inches of clearance around the unit for proper airflow.
2. Connecting Hoses:
   a. Attach the provided fittings to the INLET and OUTLET ports on top of the chiller. Ensure they are securely tightened.
   b. Connect a hose from your water pump (not included) to the chiller's INLET port.
   c. Connect a hose from the chiller's OUTLET port to your hydroponic reservoir, aquarium, or cold plunge tub.
3. Submersible Pump Installation: Place your submersible pump (not included) into the water reservoir. Ensure it is fully submerged and securely positioned.
4. Power Connection: Plug the chiller into a grounded electrical outlet. Plug in the submersible pump to its power source.
5. Initial Water Circulation: Before turning on the chiller, ensure water is circulating properly through the system by running the pump. Check all connections for leaks.

5. Operating Instructions

The Active Aqua Water Chiller features a user-friendly digital control panel and remote control for easy temperature management.

1. Power On/Off: Press the 'POWER' button on the control panel or remote to turn the unit on or off.
2. Setting Temperature:
   a. Press the 'SET' button.
   b. Use the 'UP' and 'DOWN' arrow buttons to adjust the desired water temperature.
   c. Press 'SET' again to confirm the new temperature.
3. Boost Function: The chiller includes a boost function for rapid cooling. Activate this feature by pressing the 'BOOST' button. This will temporarily increase cooling power.
4. Monitoring Temperature: The digital display shows the current water temperature.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning the Evaporator: The pure titanium evaporator is anti-corrosive, but regular cleaning of the water path is recommended to prevent buildup.
• Air Filter Cleaning: Periodically clean the air intake filters on the sides of the unit to ensure unrestricted airflow. Dust and debris can reduce cooling efficiency.
• Water Quality: Use clean water in your system. If using in hydroponics, monitor nutrient solution levels and quality.
• Hose Inspection: Regularly inspect hoses for kinks, blockages, or damage.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your chiller, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• Chiller Not Turning On:
  a. Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a grounded outlet.
  b. Ensure the power switch on the unit is in the 'ON' position.
  c. Verify there is power to the outlet.
• Insufficient Cooling:
  a. Check if the air intake filters are clean and not obstructed.
  b. Ensure the ambient room temperature is not excessively high.
  c. Verify that the water volume in your system is within the recommended range (10-40 gallons for 0.10 HP model).
