Setup
Mounting
The SENLAN RS-10B LED Par Bar can be mounted in various positions using its adjustable brackets. Ensure the mounting surface or truss is capable of supporting the weight of the fixture (approximately 1.1 kg / 2.4 lbs). Always use appropriate clamps and safety cables when suspending the unit.
Power Connection
- Verify that the local power supply voltage matches the requirements of the fixture (AC90V-240V/50-60Hz).
- Connect the provided power cable to the power input on the rear of the unit.
- Plug the other end of the power cable into a grounded electrical outlet.
DMX Connection (Optional)
For DMX512 control, connect the fixture to a DMX controller and other DMX-compatible devices:
- Connect the DMX output of your DMX controller to the DMX IN port of the first fixture using a 3-pin DMX cable.
- To connect multiple fixtures, link the DMX OUT port of the first fixture to the DMX IN port of the next fixture in a daisy chain.
- Ensure the last fixture in the DMX chain has a DMX terminator connected to its DMX OUT port to prevent signal reflection.
Operating Modes
The SENLAN RS-10B offers four primary control modes, accessible via the digital LED display and menu buttons on the rear panel.
Digital LED Display and Menu Navigation
The digital LED display shows the current mode and settings. Use the menu buttons (MENU, UP, DOWN, ENTER) to navigate and adjust parameters:
- MENU: Cycles through the main menu options.
- UP/DOWN: Adjusts values or navigates within a menu option.
- ENTER: Confirms a selection or saves a setting.
DMX512 Control
This mode allows external control of the fixture's functions using a DMX512 controller. The fixture supports 7 different DMX modes, enabling individual control over each LED's color and intensity.
- Set the desired DMX address for the fixture using the digital display. Refer to the DMX Channel Chart in the Specifications section for channel assignments.
- Ensure the DMX cables are correctly connected as described in the Setup section.
- Control the light's parameters (color, dimming, effects) from your DMX controller.
Automatic Operation
The fixture features 24 different pre-programmed automatic "run water" effects. These effects can be selected and run without an external controller.
- Navigate to the automatic mode setting on the digital display.
- Use the UP/DOWN buttons to cycle through the 24 available automatic programs.
- Press ENTER to select and activate a program.
Sound Activation
In sound activation mode, the light reacts to ambient sound, creating dynamic lighting effects synchronized with music or other audio. This mode can also be combined with the automatic "run water" effects.
- Select the sound activation mode from the digital display.
- The fixture will now respond to sound input via its built-in microphone.
- Adjust the sound sensitivity if available, or experiment with placement relative to the sound source.
Master/Slave Mode
This mode allows multiple fixtures to operate in synchronization without a DMX controller. One fixture acts as the "Master" and controls all "Slave" fixtures.
- Connect the DMX OUT of the Master fixture to the DMX IN of the first Slave fixture. Continue daisy-chaining all Slave fixtures.
- Set the first fixture to "Master" mode using its digital display.
- Set all subsequent fixtures to "Slave" mode.
- The Master fixture's settings (e.g., automatic programs, sound activation) will now be replicated across all Slave fixtures.
Color Mixing and Dimming
The 3-in-1 RGB LEDs allow for a wide spectrum of colors. The digital display offers a "Mixology" feature to manually select specific color shades.
- Navigate to the color mixing settings on the digital display.
- Adjust the intensity of Red, Green, and Blue components individually from 0-255 to create custom colors.
- The overall brightness can be adjusted using the 0-100% dimmer function.
