The Muddy Pro-Cam 20 Trail Camera is designed to capture high-definition wildlife and wilderness video and still images with rapid response. Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Open the camera's front cover.
- Locate the battery chamber at the bottom of the camera.
- To open the battery chamber, press the chamber lightly and then slide the eject button.
- Pull firmly to remove the chamber.
- Insert 6 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Reinsert the battery chamber until it clicks securely into place.
2. SD Card Installation
- With the camera open, locate the SD card slot on the side of the internal compartment.
- Insert an SD card (up to 32 GB, not included) into the slot with the metal contacts facing down.
- Push the card in until it clicks into place. To remove, push it in again until it springs out.
3. Mounting the Camera
The camera can be mounted using the included strap or a tripod.
- Strap Mounting: Thread the adjustable strap through the cable track slots on the back of the camera. Secure the camera to a tree or pole at the desired height and angle.
- Tripod Mounting: Use the 1/4"-20 tripod mount on the bottom of the camera to attach it to a compatible tripod or mounting arm.
4. Initial Setup (Date/Time)
- Turn the camera ON using the switch inside the front cover.
- The backlit LCD screen will illuminate.
- Use the navigation buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right) to navigate through the menu options.
- Press the M button to enter the menu.
- Navigate to the "Date/Time" setting.
- Use the Up/Down buttons to adjust values and Left/Right to move between fields.
- Press OK to confirm settings.
- Set other desired parameters such as Camera ID, Photo Burst, Video Length, etc.
Operating Instructions
1. Camera Modes
The Pro-Cam 20 supports various modes:
- Photo Mode: Captures still images.
- Resolution: 20 MP (day), 5 MP (night).
- Photo Burst: Optional 2 to 8 photos per trigger event.
- Trigger Speed: 0.6 seconds.
- Video Mode: Records video clips with audio.
- Resolution: 1280 x 720 HD or VGA (32 frames-per-second).
- Video Length: 6 options from 5 to 10 minute spans.
- Time-Lapse Mode: Captures images at set intervals.
- Period: Available 1, 2, 3, or 4 hours after sunrise and before dusk.
- Custom: All day or custom start and end times available.
2. Detection and Flash Ranges
- Detection Range: Up to 70 ft.
- Flash Range (Night): Up to 60 ft.
3. Viewing Images/Videos
To view captured media:
- Turn the camera ON.
- Navigate to the "Playback" or "View" option in the menu.
- Use the navigation buttons to scroll through images and videos.
- Alternatively, remove the SD card and insert it into a computer or compatible device to view files.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and body. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace all 6 AA batteries when the battery indicator is low. For optimal performance, use high-quality alkaline or lithium batteries.
- SD Card Management: Regularly format your SD card using the camera's menu option to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Back up important files before formatting.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, remove batteries and store the camera in a cool, dry place.
