Introduction
The EGO POWER+ ST1521S String Trimmer features POWERLOAD Technology for automatic line winding, a durable Carbon Fiber shaft, and a high-efficiency brushless motor. Designed for trimming weeds and grass, this 15-inch battery-powered tool offers variable speed control and uses a dual-feed spiral twist 0.095-inch line. It is compatible with all EGO ARC Lithium batteries.

Setup
Assembly
The EGO POWER+ ST1521S String Trimmer requires some assembly. Ensure all components are present before beginning. The handle can be adjusted along the carbon fiber shaft for user comfort and balance. The shaft itself is telescopic, allowing for length adjustment to suit different user heights. Secure all locking mechanisms after adjustment.

Battery Installation and Charging
The trimmer operates on a 56V 2.5Ah ARC Lithium battery. To install, align the battery with the battery slot on the trimmer and slide it in until it clicks securely into place. To charge the battery, place it into the provided charger. The charger features an LED indicator to show charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 50 minutes.

Operating Instructions
Starting the Trimmer
To start the trimmer, ensure the battery is securely installed. Engage the safety lock, then press the trigger. The trimmer features variable speed control, allowing you to adjust the cutting speed based on the task. There are two speed settings available.

POWERLOAD Technology
The POWERLOAD head automatically winds the trimmer line. To replace the line, simply feed the new line into the head until it passes through to the other side, ensuring equal lengths on both sides. Then, press the POWERLOAD button on the trimmer head, and the line will automatically wind itself. This eliminates the need for manual winding or bumping the head to advance the line.

Maintenance
Line Replacement
The trimmer uses a dual-feed spiral twist 0.095-inch line. When replacing the line, ensure the new line is fed evenly through the POWERLOAD head. The automatic winding system will handle the rest. Pre-cut line packs are available for convenience.
Cleaning and Storage
After each use, clean any grass clippings or debris from the trimmer head and guard. The trimmer can be hung for storage using the integrated hook on the battery housing, helping to keep it organized and protected.

Troubleshooting
Common Issues
- Trimmer not starting: Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely seated. Check the safety lock and trigger engagement.
- Line not advancing: Verify the POWERLOAD button is being pressed correctly. Ensure the line is not tangled or jammed within the head.
- Reduced power: Check battery charge level. Ensure the cutting line is not excessively long or worn.
