Setup
Before first use, ensure the toaster is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from flammable materials. Unwind the power cord completely. It is recommended to operate the toaster for one cycle without bread on the highest setting to burn off any manufacturing residues. Ensure adequate ventilation during this process.
Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for optimal toasting results:
- Plug In: Connect the power plug to a suitable 240V power outlet.
- Insert Bread: Place slices of bread, bagels, or crumpets into the extra-wide toasting slots. The toaster features automatic centering for even browning.
- Select Browning Level: Use the browning control slider to select your desired browning level from 1 (lightest) to 5 (darkest).
- Start Toasting: Press the Toast/Cancel button. The motorized bread carriage will automatically lower the bread into the toasting slots, and the LED progress indicator will illuminate.
- Monitor Progress: The LED progress indicator will count down the remaining toasting time.
- Retrieve Toast: Once the cycle is complete, the bread carriage will automatically raise the toast.

Special Functions:
- A Bit More: If your toast is not quite brown enough, press the A Bit More button after the cycle finishes. The carriage will lower for a short additional toasting period.
- Crumpet/Fruit Bread: This setting adjusts the heating elements to toast crumpets or fruit bread more effectively, often toasting one side more than the other. Press the Crumpet/Fruit Bread button before or during the toasting cycle.
- Frozen: For frozen bread, press the Frozen button before or during the toasting cycle. This will extend the toasting time to account for defrosting.
- Lift & Look: To check the browning progress without stopping the cycle, press the Lift & Look button. The bread carriage will temporarily raise, allowing you to inspect the toast. It will then automatically lower to continue toasting.
- Cancel: To stop the toasting cycle at any time, press the Toast/Cancel button.
Care and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster.
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Empty Crumb Tray: Pull out the removable crumb tray located at the bottom of the toaster. Discard crumbs and wipe the tray clean with a damp cloth. Ensure the tray is dry before reinserting.
- Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or metal polish, as these can scratch the stainless steel finish.
- Internal Cleaning: Never insert utensils or fingers into the toasting slots. If food becomes lodged, unplug the toaster and carefully invert it to shake out the food.

Troubleshooting
- Toaster not turning on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check your household's circuit breaker.
- Bread not toasting evenly: Ensure bread slices are centered in the slots. The automatic centering feature should assist, but very thin or thick slices might require adjustment. Clean the crumb tray regularly to prevent buildup.
- Smoke coming from toaster: Unplug immediately. This is usually caused by food lodged inside or excessive crumbs. Allow to cool, then clean the crumb tray and carefully remove any trapped food.
- Toast too light/dark: Adjust the browning control slider to a higher or lower setting. Use the 'A Bit More' function for slight adjustments.
- Carriage not lowering/raising: Ensure no obstructions are in the toasting slots. If the issue persists, unplug the unit and contact customer support.
