1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Furmax Ergonomic Office Chair. This manual provides essential information for the proper assembly, operation, and maintenance of your new chair. 4. Assembly Instructions
Follow these steps carefully for correct assembly:
- Attach Casters to Base: Firmly push each of the five casters into the holes at the end of each leg of the five-star base until they click into place.
- Insert Gas Lift: Place the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the five-star base.
- Attach Armrests to Backrest: Install the armrests to the backrest. Do not fully tighten the screws at this stage.
- Attach Armrests to Seat Cushion: Install the armrests to the seat cushion. Do not fully tighten the screws yet.
- Connect Seat Cushion and Backrest: Align the seat cushion with the backrest and secure them together using the remaining screws.
- Tighten All Screws: Once all components are loosely assembled, go back and tighten all screws securely with the provided Allen wrench. Ensure all connections are firm.
- Place Assembled Top onto Gas Lift: Carefully place the assembled seat and backrest onto the gas lift cylinder, ensuring it is centered and stable.

5. Operating Instructions
Your Furmax office chair offers several adjustable features for personalized comfort:
- Height Adjustment: Use the handle located at the right bottom of the seat to adjust the seat height. Pull the handle up to raise the seat, and pull it up while seated to lower the seat. This allows you to match different desk heights.
- Tilt Function: To recline, pull the handle outwards. To lock the chair in an upright position, push the handle inwards. You can also adjust the tension of the tilt mechanism by twisting the tension column located under the chair seat.
- 360-Degree Swivel: The chair features a full 360-degree horizontal rotation, allowing for easy movement and enhanced conversation experience.
- Smooth Casters: The durable PU casters ensure quiet and smooth movement across hard floors without causing damage.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe down plastic and metal parts with a soft, damp cloth. For the mesh and fabric, use a mild soap solution and a soft brush, then blot dry. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Caster Care: Periodically check casters for hair or debris and clean as needed to ensure smooth rolling.
- Tighten Screws: Over time, screws may loosen. Periodically check and re-tighten all assembly screws to maintain stability and safety.
- Weight Limit: Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 240 pounds.
7. Troubleshooting
- Chair Sinks/Doesn't Stay Up: Ensure the gas lift cylinder is properly seated in the base and the seat mechanism. If the issue persists, the gas lift may need replacement.
- Chair Wobbles: Check that all assembly screws are tightened securely. Ensure the five-star base is not damaged and casters are fully inserted.
- Casters Not Rolling Smoothly: Clean any debris (hair, lint) from the caster wheels. Ensure the casters are not damaged.
- Backrest Doesn't Tilt/Lock: Check the tilt tension knob under the seat; it might be too tight. Ensure the tilt lock lever is engaged or disengaged correctly.
