Key Features

4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps carefully to install the Dynatron B14 CPU Cooler onto your motherboard.

Required Tools

Installation Steps

  1. Prepare the Motherboard: Ensure your motherboard is securely mounted in the chassis or on a non-conductive surface. Locate the FCLGA3647 Square ILM socket.
  2. Prepare the CPU: Carefully unbox your Intel Xeon processor. Align the triangular mark on the CPU with the corresponding mark on the socket. Gently place the CPU into the socket without forcing it.
  3. Apply Thermal Paste (if not pre-applied): If the cooler does not have pre-applied thermal paste, apply a small pea-sized amount of high-quality thermal paste to the center of the CPU's Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS). Do not spread it manually; the pressure from the heatsink will distribute it evenly. If thermal paste is pre-applied, ensure the protective film is removed.
  4. Position the Cooler: Carefully align the Dynatron B14 CPU cooler over the installed processor and the mounting holes on the motherboard's Square ILM bracket. Ensure the cooler's base makes full contact with the CPU's IHS.
  5. Secure the Cooler: Using a Phillips head screwdriver, tighten the four spring-loaded screws on the cooler's mounting bracket in a diagonal pattern (e.g., top-left, bottom-right, top-right, bottom-left). Tighten each screw a few turns at a time until all are fully seated and the cooler is firmly attached. Do not overtighten.
  6. Connect the Fan Cable: Locate the 4-pin PWM fan header on your motherboard, typically labeled "CPU_FAN" or similar. Connect the 4-pin fan cable from the Dynatron B14 cooler to this header. Ensure the connector is fully seated.
  7. Final Check: Double-check all connections and ensure the cooler is stable and not obstructing any other components.

5. Operating

Once installed, the Dynatron B14 CPU cooler operates automatically. The 4-pin PWM fan will adjust its speed based on the CPU temperature, as controlled by your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI settings or operating system software. This ensures optimal cooling performance while minimizing noise levels when the system is under light load.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Dynatron B14 CPU Cooler.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Dynatron B14 CPU Cooler, refer to the following common problems and solutions.

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
CPU Overheating
  • Improper cooler installation
  • Insufficient thermal paste
  • Fan not spinning or spinning too slowly
  • Poor chassis airflow
  • Re-seat the cooler, ensuring even pressure.
  • Verify thermal paste application.
  • Check fan connection to motherboard.
  • Adjust BIOS fan settings or improve case ventilation.
Fan Not Spinning
  • Fan cable disconnected
  • Faulty fan header on motherboard
  • Defective fan
  • Ensure fan cable is securely connected to the CPU_FAN header.
  • Try connecting the fan to a different fan header.
  • Contact Dynatron support if the fan is defective.
Excessive Fan Noise
  • Dust accumulation
  • Fan bearing issue
  • Fan speed set too high
  • Clean dust from fan and heatsink.
  • Adjust fan curve in BIOS to reduce speed at lower temperatures.
  • If noise persists, the fan may be faulty.
