Important Safety Information
Always prioritize safety when assembling, operating, and maintaining your swimming pool. Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious injury or death.
- Adult supervision is required at all times when children are in or near the pool.
- Do not dive or jump into the pool. The pool depth is 52 inches (1.32 meters).
- Ensure the pool is set up on a firm, level surface free of sharp objects.
- Keep all electrical components, including the filter pump, away from water and ensure they are properly grounded.
- Secure the ladder when not in use to prevent unsupervised access.
- Regularly inspect the pool and all components for damage or wear.
Setup and Assembly
Assembly of the Summer Waves Elite pool requires at least two adults and can typically be completed within 60 minutes before filling. Choose a suitable location before beginning assembly.
1. Site Preparation
- Select a flat, level area in your backyard, large enough to accommodate the 24-foot by 12-foot pool dimensions, plus additional space for access and the filter pump.
- Clear the area of any rocks, roots, or sharp objects that could puncture the pool liner.
- Ensure the ground is firm and can support the weight of the filled pool (approximately 8,393 gallons of water).

2. Laying the Ground Cloth and Liner
- Unfold the included ground cloth and lay it flat on the prepared site. This provides an extra layer of protection for the pool liner.
- Carefully unroll the pool liner over the ground cloth. Position it so the drain plug is accessible.
- Smooth out any wrinkles in the liner.
3. Assembling the Frame
- Identify all frame components: horizontal beams, vertical legs, and corner connectors. Refer to the included assembly diagram for specific part identification.
- Connect the horizontal beams to form the rectangular top frame of the pool.
- Insert the vertical legs into the designated slots on the horizontal beams and through the liner's leg pockets.
- Ensure all connections are secure and the frame is rigid.

4. Installing the Filter Pump
- Position the SFX1500 SkimmerPlus filter pump on a stable surface near the pool, ensuring it is within reach of an appropriate electrical outlet.
- Connect the pump hoses to the inlet and outlet ports on the pool liner and the pump itself. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
- Insert the filter cartridge into the pump housing as per the pump's specific instructions.

5. Filling the Pool
- Begin filling the pool with water. As the water level rises, gently smooth out any remaining wrinkles in the liner from the center outwards.
- Fill the pool to the recommended water line, typically indicated on the liner or in the pump manual. The pool has a capacity of approximately 8,393 gallons.
6. Ladder Assembly
- Assemble the 4-step ladder according to its separate instructions.
- Place the ladder securely against the pool wall, ensuring it is stable before use.

Operation
Filter Pump Operation
- Once the pool is filled, plug in the SFX1500 SkimmerPlus filter pump to a grounded 110/120V outlet.
- Operate the filter pump for a minimum of 4-6 hours daily to ensure proper water circulation and filtration.
- Refer to the filter pump's specific manual for detailed operating instructions, including priming and backwashing procedures if applicable.
Water Chemistry
- Regularly test your pool water for pH, chlorine, and alkalinity levels using a pool test kit.
- Maintain appropriate chemical levels to prevent algae growth and ensure water clarity and safety. Consult a pool supply professional for recommended chemical dosages for an 8,393-gallon pool.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudy Water | Insufficient filtration, improper chemical balance, high organic load. | Run filter pump longer, check/adjust chemical levels (chlorine, pH), clean filter cartridge, shock treat pool. |
| Algae Growth | Low chlorine, high pH, poor circulation. | Shock treat with chlorine, brush walls, add algaecide, ensure adequate pump run time. |
| Pump Not Running | No power, clogged impeller, air lock. | Check power connection/breaker, unplug and inspect impeller for debris, prime pump according to its manual. |
| Water Leak | Puncture in liner, loose hose connection, faulty drain plug. | Locate and patch liner, tighten all hose clamps, ensure drain plug is securely closed. |
