4.2 Floor or Wall Mounting

The landmine attachment features 3 pre-drilled holes for mounting to the floor and 4 mounting holes for attaching to walls, providing additional stability for heavy use or if a power cage is not available. Mounting hardware is not included and must be purchased separately based on your floor/wall type.

  1. Choose a secure location on your floor or wall.
  2. Mark the positions for the mounting holes using the attachment as a template.
  3. Drill appropriate pilot holes.
  4. Secure the attachment using suitable anchors and bolts (not included). Ensure it is extremely stable before use.

4.3 Barbell Insertion

The landmine attachment accommodates both 1-inch standard bars and 2-inch Olympic bars. Insert the end of your chosen barbell into the appropriate sleeve. For 2-inch Olympic bars, use the larger sleeve and tighten the integrated knob to secure the bar and prevent it from slipping during exercises.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and safe operation of your landmine attachment, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Regular Inspection: Periodically check all bolts, nuts, and connection points for tightness. Tighten any loose fasteners.
  • Cleanliness: Wipe down the attachment with a damp cloth after use to remove sweat and dust. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Lubrication: The pivot mechanism is designed for smooth operation. If you notice any stiffness, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the pivot points.
  • Storage: If not in use for extended periods, store the attachment in a dry place to prevent rust.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Fitness Reality Landmine Attachment, consider the following:

  • Wobbling/Instability: Ensure all mounting bolts and tightening knobs are fully secured. If mounted to a power cage, verify the cage itself is stable. If floor/wall mounted, check the integrity of the anchors.
  • Barbell Slipping: For 2-inch Olympic bars, ensure the tightening knob on the sleeve is fully engaged and tightened against the barbell.
  • Stiff Pivot: Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant to the pivot points. Ensure no debris is obstructing the movement.

If problems persist, refer to the warranty and support section for further assistance.
