Installation Steps:
- Mounting the Unit: Secure the CLOUDPLATE T6 unit into an available 1U rack space using the provided rack mount screws and cage nuts. Ensure it is positioned near the top of the rack for optimal front exhaust airflow.
- Connecting the Thermal Probe: Plug the corded 6-ft thermal probe into the designated port on the unit. Position the probe near the equipment you wish to monitor for temperature.
- Power Connection: Connect the power plug cord to the unit and then to a standard power outlet.
- Expansion (Optional): If you have additional CLOUDPLATE units or an AC Infinity rack roof dual-fan kit, you can connect them to the expansion port on the rear of the unit to share the same controller programming.
Operating Instructions
The CLOUDPLATE T6 features an LCD digital controller for easy programming and monitoring.

Figure 5: The intelligent programming display allows for automated temperature-based fan speed control, offering six speeds from silent to powerful, along with a corded precision thermal probe and fan failure/alarm warnings.
Controller Functions:
- Automated Speed Control: The controller automatically adjusts fan speed based on temperature readings from the thermal probe.
- Programmable Thermostat: Set your desired temperature thresholds for fan activation and speed adjustments.
- Alarm Warnings: The system provides alerts for high temperatures or fan failures.
- Backup Memory: Settings are saved even after power loss.
- Fan Speeds: Six fan speeds are available, allowing for customization from quiet operation to maximum airflow.
- Screen Brightness: Three screen brightness settings are available for the LCD display.
- SMART Mode: This mode automatically adjusts the fan's speed to react to varying temperatures, optimizing energy efficiency and noise levels.

Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your CLOUDPLATE T6 unit, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Dust Removal: Periodically clean the fan grilles and blades to prevent dust buildup, which can impede airflow and reduce efficiency. Use a soft brush or compressed air.
- Cable Inspection: Regularly check all cables (power, thermal probe, expansion) for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections.
- Environmental Conditions: Ensure the operating environment remains within the recommended temperature and humidity ranges to prevent undue stress on the unit.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your CLOUDPLATE T6, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Fan Not Running:
- Check if the unit is properly plugged into a power outlet.
- Verify that the temperature setting is below the current ambient temperature if in automated mode.
- Ensure no fan failure warning is displayed on the LCD.
- Inaccurate Temperature Readings:
- Ensure the thermal probe is securely connected and positioned correctly near the heat source.
- Avoid placing the probe directly on hot components, as this may give an unrepresentative reading.
- Excessive Noise:
- Check for any obstructions around the fan blades.
- Ensure the unit is securely mounted and not vibrating against the rack.
- Lower the fan speed setting if maximum airflow is not required.
