Setup

  1. Battery Installation:

    Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the lid assembly. Open the compartment cover and insert 4 x AA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) is observed. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

  2. Liner Holder Installation:

    Place a rubbish bag into the bin body. Secure the top edge of the rubbish bag by fitting it around the liner holder ring. Then, place the liner holder ring with the bag into the bin body, ensuring the bag is neatly tucked in and the ring sits flush with the bin's rim.

  3. Power On:

    Locate the power switch on the underside of the lid assembly (next to the battery compartment). Flip the switch to the "ON" position. The bin is now ready for operation.

Operating Instructions

Motion Sensor Mode

The bin operates primarily in motion sensor mode for hands-free convenience.

  • Ensure the power switch is in the "ON" position.
  • Approach the sensor area (located on the front of the lid) with your hand or an object within a range of approximately 20cm.
  • The lid will automatically open softly and silently.
  • After a few seconds of inactivity, the lid will automatically close softly and silently.

Manual Mode

In case of low battery or if you prefer manual operation, the bin can be opened and closed by hand.

  • To open the lid manually, gently lift the lid.
  • To close the lid manually, gently push the lid down.
  • To re-enable sensor mode after manual operation, press the close button on the lid or cycle the power switch off and then on again.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Exterior:

    The bin features a fingerprint-resistant stainless steel body. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn marks, use a mild stainless steel cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, which can damage the finish.

  • Cleaning the Lid:

    Wipe the lid assembly with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the lid in water. Ensure the sensor area is kept clean and free of dust or debris for optimal performance.

  • Battery Replacement:

    When the sensor operation becomes sluggish or stops working, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in the "Setup" section.

  • Trash Bag Removal:

    To remove a full trash bag, lift the lid, then carefully lift the liner holder ring to release the bag. Tie the bag securely and dispose of it responsibly. Replace with a new bag and re-install the liner holder.

Troubleshooting
