3. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your lawnmower before first use.
- Handlebar Assembly: Attach the lower and upper handlebar sections using the provided fasteners. Ensure all connections are secure. The handlebars are designed to be height-adjustable and foldable for storage.
- Grass Collection Bag Assembly: Assemble the fabric grass collection bag by attaching it to its frame. Ensure it is securely fitted.
- Attaching the Grass Collection Bag: Lift the rear flap of the lawnmower and hook the assembled grass collection bag onto the designated points. Ensure it is firmly in place to prevent grass clippings from escaping.
- Cable Management: Use the provided cable clips to secure the 10m power cable along the handlebar, keeping it tidy and out of the way during operation.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Adjusting Cutting Height
The lawnmower offers 5 cutting height settings, from 20mm to 70mm, allowing you to achieve your desired lawn finish.

- Ensure the lawnmower is switched off and disconnected from the power supply.
- Locate the single lever height adjustment mechanism on the side of the mower.
- Move the lever to select the desired cutting height. Higher numbers correspond to longer grass.
4.2. Starting and Stopping
- Connect the power cable to a suitable outdoor power outlet.
- To start, press and hold the safety button, then squeeze the operating lever on the handlebar. Release the safety button once the motor starts.
- To stop, release the operating lever. The blade will stop rotating.
4.3. Mowing Technique
For best results, mow in overlapping strips. The 380mm working width ensures efficient coverage.

The design allows for a small 2.5cm unmown gap to be left at raised edges, minimizing the need for additional trimming.

5. Maintenance and Storage
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your lawnmower.
5.1. Cleaning
- Always disconnect the power supply before cleaning.
- Clean the exterior of the lawnmower with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Remove grass clippings from the underside of the deck and around the blade using a brush or scraper.
- Empty the grass collection bag after each use and clean it if necessary.
5.2. Blade Care
- Periodically inspect the blade for sharpness and damage. A dull or damaged blade can affect cutting performance.
- If the blade needs sharpening or replacement, consult a qualified service technician or refer to the VonHaus website for genuine replacement parts.
5.3. Storage
- Clean the lawnmower thoroughly before storing.
- Fold the handlebars for compact storage.
- Store the lawnmower in a dry, secure place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
