4. Setup and Installation
The Wireless Desktop Transmitter offers two primary installation methods: desktop placement or wall-mounting.
4.1. Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the transmitter.
- Insert the included 9V alkaline battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the battery compartment securely. The battery is designed to last up to four years with typical usage (60 uses per day).
4.2. Message Plate Selection
- Choose the desired message plate (English, Spanish, French, or blank) from the included set.
- Carefully insert the chosen plate into the designated slot on the transmitter's button face.
4.3. Desktop Placement
- Attach the four adhesive rubber feet to the bottom of the transmitter to prevent slipping and protect surfaces.
- Place the transmitter on a flat, stable surface within 250 feet (line of sight) of the SK-910 series RF receiver.
4.4. Wall Mounting
- Secure the mounting backbox to the desired wall location using the provided wallplate screws and wall anchors. Ensure the location is within 250 feet (line of sight) of the SK-910 series RF receiver.
- Attach the transmitter to the mounted backbox using the mounting screws.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Activating the Transmitter
To activate the transmitter and send a signal to the paired SK-910 series RF receiver, simply press the "PUSH TO EXIT" button.
5.2. LED Indicator
- When the button is pressed, the multi-colored LED illuminates blue, indicating that a signal is being transmitted.
- When the battery begins to run low, the LED will illuminate red. Refer to the Maintenance section for battery replacement.

The transmitter is powered by a 9V alkaline battery. When the multi-colored LED illuminates red, it indicates that the battery level is low and requires replacement.
