4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For stubborn grime, use a mild soap solution and a soft brush, then rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry completely.

4.2 Water Resistance Precautions

The watch is water resistant to 200 meters. This means it is suitable for showering, swimming, and diving. However, avoid operating buttons while the watch is submerged in water to prevent water ingress. After exposure to saltwater, rinse the watch with fresh water and dry it thoroughly.

4.3 Battery Replacement

When the battery runs low, the display may become dim or functions may become erratic. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Incorrect Time Display

If the analog hands do not match the digital time, or if the time is incorrect:

  • Verify your Home City setting and Daylight Saving Time (DST) status.
  • Perform a manual hand alignment if necessary (refer to the full Casio module manual for detailed steps, typically involving holding ADJUST in Timekeeping Mode and then pressing MODE to enter hand alignment).

5.2 Digital Display is Blank or Dim

This may indicate a low battery. Arrange for battery replacement by a professional service.

5.3 Buttons Not Responding

Ensure the watch is not in a mode that locks button operations. If the issue persists, a full reset may be required (consult a service center) or the battery may be depleted.
