Introduction

The NITECORE BR35 bike light features an innovative dual distance beam, similar to car headlights, designed to simultaneously illuminate both near and far distances, eliminating dark zones and enhancing safety. Setup

Mounting the BR35

The NITECORE BR35 utilizes a no-tools-needed quick-mount system for easy installation on bicycle handlebars. To attach the mount, loosen the mount bolt, position it on your handlebar, and tighten the bolt securely. Slide the BR35 light onto the mount until it clicks into place. To remove the light, press the release tab on the mount and slide the unit off.

Connecting the Remote Switch

The BR35 includes a remote switch for convenient operation while riding. Connect the remote switch cable to the micro-USB port on the BR35. Secure the remote switch to your handlebar using the integrated strap. This allows you to control the light's main functions without removing your hands from the handlebars.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

To turn the BR35 on or off, press and hold the 'M' (Mode) button.

Mode Selection (City, Road, Trail)

While holding the 'M' button, the OLED display will cycle through 'CITY', 'ROAD', and 'TRAIL' modes. Release the button when the desired mode is displayed to select it.

• City Mode: The lower beam is constantly on. Brightness can be adjusted using the '+' and '-' buttons. Tapping the 'M' button provides a 3-second burst of Turbo (upper beam) as needed. This mode is suitable for urban night riding where oncoming traffic is a concern and bright outputs may be unnecessary due to streetlights.
• Road Mode: Offers the option of using either the long-range upper beam or the short-range lower beam. Tap the 'M' button to switch between these beams. Brightness is adjustable with the '+' and '-' buttons. This mode is ideal for areas with limited oncoming traffic or longer stretches requiring a bright, long-range output.
• Trail Mode: Both beams are active, providing up to 1800 lumens of output and complete coverage both up close and at a distance. Brightness is adjustable with the '+' and '-' buttons. Tapping the 'M' button will toggle the top beam on and off, allowing full control over output and helping to avoid blinding oncoming traffic. This mode is most useful when exploring off-road or in any setting where conditions frequently change.

Caution Light Mode

For situations where visibility to others is paramount, the BR35 features a Caution Light mode. With the light off, press and hold the '+' and '-' buttons simultaneously to enter this mode. The lower beam will flash (if the light was last set to City or Road mode), or both beams will flash (if the light was last set to Trail mode). To exit Caution Light mode, press and hold the 'M' button.

Brightness Adjustment

In any active mode, use the '+' button to increase brightness and the '-' button to decrease brightness. The OLED screen will display the current brightness level.

OLED Display

The brightly lit and easy-to-read OLED display is located on the top of the BR35. This panel provides crucial operating information, including the current mode, brightness level, and remaining runtime, allowing riders to focus on their ride rather than the headlight.

Charging Instructions

The BR35 features a built-in 6800mAh Li-ion battery that is rechargeable via a convenient micro-USB charging port. Using the included USB charging cable, plug the BR35 into a compatible adapter, laptop, or power bank to charge. The intelligent charging circuit will automatically terminate charging upon completion. To quickly check the remaining battery power without turning on the BR35, simply tap the 'M' button, and the OLED display will show the remaining battery power.

The micro-USB charging port is located on the side of the device, protected by a rubber cover to maintain its waterproof rating.

Maintenance

• Keep the light clean by wiping it with a soft, damp cloth.
• Avoid exposing the light to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
• Store the light in a cool, dry place when not in use.
• Charge the battery regularly, even if not in frequent use, to maintain optimal battery health and prolong its lifespan.

Troubleshooting

• Light not turning on: Ensure the battery is fully charged. Press and hold the 'M' button for the specified duration.
• Light flickering or dim: This indicates a low battery. Recharge the battery immediately.
• Buttons unresponsive: Try performing a full recharge of the device. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
• Mount not secure: Ensure the mount bolt is tightened correctly on the handlebar. Check the mount and the light's attachment point for any damage.
