Controls and Features:

Setup

Powering the Device:

The Lenco SCD-37 can be powered by either AC mains or batteries.

1. AC Power:
   • Ensure the unit is switched off.
   • Connect the supplied AC power cable to the AC IN jack on the back of the unit.
   • Plug the other end of the cable into a standard wall outlet (230V AC, 50Hz).
2. Battery Power:
   • Ensure the unit is switched off and disconnected from AC power.
   • Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the unit.
   • Insert 6 x 'C' size (UM-2) batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
   • Close the battery compartment cover securely.
   • Note: Battery operation is ideal for portability. Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for extended periods to prevent leakage.

Operating Instructions

CD Playback:

1. Slide the FUNCTION switch to the "CD" position.
2. Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" area on the CD compartment lid to open it.
3. Place a CD (label side up) onto the spindle, gently pressing it down until it clicks into place.
4. Close the CD compartment lid firmly.
5. The CD will start playing automatically. If not, press the PLAY/PAUSE button.
6. Use the PREV/NEXT buttons to skip tracks.
7. Press the REPEAT button to repeat the current track (one press) or all tracks (two presses).
8. Press the STOP button to stop playback.
9. Adjust the VOLUME control to your desired listening level.

FM Radio Operation:

1. Slide the FUNCTION switch to the "FM" position.
2. Extend the FM telescopic antenna fully for optimal reception.
3. Rotate the TUNING control to search for your desired FM radio station.
4. The FM ST. indicator will light up when a strong stereo signal is received.
5. Adjust the VOLUME control to your desired listening level.

USB Playback:

1. Slide the FUNCTION switch to the "USB" position.
2. Insert a USB flash drive (with MP3/WMA files) into the USB port.
3. The unit will automatically detect and begin playing the first compatible audio file.
4. Use the PREV/NEXT buttons to skip tracks.
5. Use the FOLDER button to navigate through folders on the USB device.
6. Press the REPEAT button to repeat the current track or all tracks.
7. Press the STOP button to stop playback.
8. Adjust the VOLUME control to your desired listening level.

Using the AUX-IN Jack:

1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX-IN jack on the unit.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device (e.g., smartphone, tablet).
3. Slide the FUNCTION switch to the "AUX" position (if available, otherwise ensure no CD/USB is playing and external device is primary source).
4. Start playback on your external device.
5. Adjust the volume on both the Lenco SCD-37 and your external device for optimal sound.

Using Headphones:

For private listening, plug a 3.5mm stereo headphone (not included) into the HEADPHONE jack. The built-in speakers will automatically be muted.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit:

• Always unplug the unit from the power source before cleaning.
• Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces.
• For stubborn stains, dampen the cloth slightly with water or a mild detergent, then wipe dry immediately.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.
• To clean the CD lens, use a commercially available CD lens cleaner.

Storage:
