Controls and Features:

Setup
Powering the Device:
The Lenco SCD-37 can be powered by either AC mains or batteries.
- AC Power:
- Ensure the unit is switched off.
- Connect the supplied AC power cable to the AC IN jack on the back of the unit.
- Plug the other end of the cable into a standard wall outlet (230V AC, 50Hz).
- Battery Power:
- Ensure the unit is switched off and disconnected from AC power.
- Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the unit.
- Insert 6 x 'C' size (UM-2) batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
- Note: Battery operation is ideal for portability. Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for extended periods to prevent leakage.
Operating Instructions
CD Playback:
- Slide the FUNCTION switch to the "CD" position.
- Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" area on the CD compartment lid to open it.
- Place a CD (label side up) onto the spindle, gently pressing it down until it clicks into place.
- Close the CD compartment lid firmly.
- The CD will start playing automatically. If not, press the PLAY/PAUSE button.
- Use the PREV/NEXT buttons to skip tracks.
- Press the REPEAT button to repeat the current track (one press) or all tracks (two presses).
- Press the STOP button to stop playback.
- Adjust the VOLUME control to your desired listening level.
FM Radio Operation:
- Slide the FUNCTION switch to the "FM" position.
- Extend the FM telescopic antenna fully for optimal reception.
- Rotate the TUNING control to search for your desired FM radio station.
- The FM ST. indicator will light up when a strong stereo signal is received.
- Adjust the VOLUME control to your desired listening level.
USB Playback:
- Slide the FUNCTION switch to the "USB" position.
- Insert a USB flash drive (with MP3/WMA files) into the USB port.
- The unit will automatically detect and begin playing the first compatible audio file.
- Use the PREV/NEXT buttons to skip tracks.
- Use the FOLDER button to navigate through folders on the USB device.
- Press the REPEAT button to repeat the current track or all tracks.
- Press the STOP button to stop playback.
- Adjust the VOLUME control to your desired listening level.
Using the AUX-IN Jack:
- Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX-IN jack on the unit.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device (e.g., smartphone, tablet).
- Slide the FUNCTION switch to the "AUX" position (if available, otherwise ensure no CD/USB is playing and external device is primary source).
- Start playback on your external device.
- Adjust the volume on both the Lenco SCD-37 and your external device for optimal sound.
Using Headphones:
For private listening, plug a 3.5mm stereo headphone (not included) into the HEADPHONE jack. The built-in speakers will automatically be muted.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit:
- Always unplug the unit from the power source before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces.
- For stubborn stains, dampen the cloth slightly with water or a mild detergent, then wipe dry immediately.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.
- To clean the CD lens, use a commercially available CD lens cleaner.
Storage:
If you plan to store the unit for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. Store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
