Setup & Installation

This faucet is designed for single-hole deck mounting and high-pressure water systems. Tool-free mounting is possible thanks to the shaft fastening mechanism.

Preparation

  1. Turn off the main water supply to your kitchen.
  2. Remove your old faucet, if applicable. Clean the sink hole area.
  3. Ensure the mounting surface is clean and dry.

Installation Steps

  1. Insert Faucet: Place the faucet body into the mounting hole on your sink or countertop.
  2. Secure Faucet: From underneath the sink, slide the rubber washer, metal washer, and fastening nut onto the threaded shaft of the faucet. Tighten the fastening nut by hand or with a suitable tool until the faucet is stable. The shaft fastening allows for tool-free assembly.
  3. Connect Water Hoses: Connect the flexible hot and cold water hoses from the faucet to your water supply lines. Ensure the hot water hose is connected to the hot supply and the cold water hose to the cold supply. Tighten connections securely but do not overtighten.
  4. Check for Leaks: Slowly turn on the main water supply. Check all connections for any signs of leakage. If leaks occur, gently tighten the connections further.
  5. Flush System: Open the faucet handle to allow water to flow for a few minutes. This flushes out any debris from the new installation.

Operating Instructions

The Cornat SAZ612 is a single-lever mixer designed for easy control of water temperature and flow.

Water Flow and Temperature Control

  • Flow Control: Lift the lever handle upwards to increase water flow. Push it downwards to decrease and turn off the water.
  • Temperature Control: Move the lever handle to the left for hot water and to the right for cold water. Adjust the position between left and right to achieve the desired water temperature.

360° Swivel Spout

The silicone spout can be rotated 360 degrees, providing maximum flexibility for various kitchen tasks, such as filling large pots or washing dishes in a double sink.

Adjustable Temperature Limit

The faucet features an adjustable temperature limit to reduce energy consumption and prevent scalding. Refer to the installation diagram or consult a professional for adjustment.

Aerator

The integrated aerator, "Made in Germany," provides a soft, air-enriched water stream, reducing water consumption by up to 40% without compromising comfort. It also ensures quiet water flow.

Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Cornat SAZ612 faucet.

Cleaning the Faucet

  • Clean the chrome surface with a soft cloth and mild soap or a non-abrasive liquid cleaner specifically designed for chrome finishes.
  • Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
  • Do not use abrasive sponges, scouring pads, or cleaners containing alcohol, ammonia, or harsh acids, as these can damage the surface finish.
  • The silicone spout can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

Aerator Cleaning

Over time, mineral deposits can build up in the aerator, reducing water flow. To clean:

  1. Unscrew the aerator from the end of the spout (usually by hand or with a coin).
  2. Rinse the aerator components under running water. Use a small brush or toothpick to remove any stubborn deposits.
  3. For heavy mineral buildup, soak the aerator in a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water for 30 minutes.
  4. Rinse thoroughly and reassemble the aerator onto the spout.

Cartridge Maintenance

The faucet is equipped with a high-quality ceramic cartridge. If you experience persistent drips or difficulty controlling water flow/temperature, the cartridge may need to be cleaned or replaced. This is typically a task for a qualified plumber.
