3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
The scale operates on one CR2430 battery (included). The battery compartment is secured with screws for child safety. To install or replace the battery:
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
- Unscrew the cover using a suitable screwdriver.
- Insert the CR2430 battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the cover and secure it with the screw.
When used twice daily, the battery provides over two years of operation.
3.2 Placement
Place the scale on a flat, stable, and hard surface to ensure accurate measurements. Avoid placing it on soft or uneven surfaces.

4. Operation
4.1 Power On/Off
To turn on the scale, lightly touch the power button (usually marked with a circle and a vertical line). The display will illuminate. The scale features an energy-saving automated switch-off function, turning off automatically after a period of inactivity.
4.2 Weighing Ingredients
- Place the scale on a stable surface.
- Turn on the scale. Ensure the display shows "0 g" before weighing.
- Place the item to be weighed directly onto the weighing surface. The weight will be displayed in 1 g increments.
4.3 Tare Function (Add-and-Weigh)
The Tare function allows you to weigh multiple ingredients consecutively in the same bowl or to subtract the weight of a container.
- Place an empty bowl or the first ingredient onto the scale. Note its weight.
- Press the "TARE" button (usually marked with "T" or "TARE"). The display will reset to "0 g".
- Add the next ingredient to the bowl. The display will show the weight of only the newly added ingredient.
- Repeat this process for additional ingredients.
