4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Timekeeping
Once the time is set, the quartz movement ensures accurate timekeeping. The second hand moves continuously, indicating the passage of seconds.
4.2 Using Sub-dials
The three sub-dials provide additional information:
- One sub-dial displays the day of the week.
- Another sub-dial indicates the date.
- The third sub-dial shows 24-hour time.
These functions are typically adjusted via the crown in its middle position, or in some models, via small recessed pushers on the side of the case (a small tool may be required).
4.3 Luminous Hands
The watch features luminous hands that glow in the dark after exposure to light, enhancing readability in low-light conditions.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Water Resistance
This watch is water resistant to 30 meters (100 feet). This means it can withstand splashes or brief immersion in water. It is not suitable for swimming, bathing, or diving. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in to maintain water resistance.
5.2 Battery Replacement
The watch is powered by one Lithium Metal battery (included). When the watch stops or the second hand begins to skip, it indicates a low battery. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
5.3 Cleaning and Care
- Clean the watch case and crystal with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
- For the leather strap, avoid prolonged exposure to water, direct sunlight, and extreme temperatures to prevent damage and discoloration. Clean with a dry, soft cloth.
- Store your watch in a dry, safe place when not in use.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Watch Not Running
If the watch is not running, check if the crown is fully pushed in. If it is, the battery may need replacement. Refer to section 5.2 for battery information.
6.2 Incorrect Time/Date
If the time or date is incorrect, follow the instructions in section 3.1 and 3.2 to reset them.
6.3 Condensation Under Crystal
If condensation appears under the crystal, it may indicate a loss of water resistance. Have the watch inspected by a professional watch repair service immediately to prevent further damage.
