Setup Guide

Follow these steps to prepare your FosPower Digital Outlet Timer for use:

1. Initial Charge: Plug the timer into a standard 120V wall outlet for at least 10 minutes to fully charge its internal backup battery. This allows for programming the device while unplugged.
2. Reset Device: After charging, use a small pointed object (like a paper clip) to press the 'RESET' button located on the front panel. This clears any previous settings and activates the timer. The display should show '0:00'.
3. Set Current Time:
   • Press and hold the 'SET' button for 2 seconds until the day of the week starts flashing.
   • Use the 'UP' or 'DOWN' buttons to select the current day of the week.
   • Press 'SET' again to advance to the hour setting. Use 'UP' or 'DOWN' to set the current hour. Pay attention to the AM/PM indicator.
   • Press 'SET' again to advance to the minute setting. Use 'UP' or 'DOWN' to set the current minute.
   • Press 'SET' one more time to finalize the current time setup.

Random Function (RND)

The random function turns your devices on and off randomly between 6 PM and 6 AM to simulate occupancy, enhancing home security.

• Ensure the timer is in 'AUTO' mode.
• Press the 'RND' button. An 'R' will appear on the display, indicating the random function is active.
• To deactivate, press the 'RND' button again. The 'R' will disappear.

Countdown Function (CD)

• Ensure the timer is in 'AUTO' mode.
• Press the 'CD' button. The display will show '0:00' and 'CD'.

• Time Display (24-hour vs. 12-hour): To change the time format between 24-hour and 12-hour modes, press the 'SET' and 'CD' buttons simultaneously while the timer is in clock mode.
• Setting PM Time: When setting the hour, observe the AM/PM indicator in the top corner. If it shows AM and you need PM, continue advancing the hour past 12 PM until the PM indicator appears.
