2. Safety Information
- Battery Safety: Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. Remove batteries if the toy will not be used for an extended period.
- Choking Hazard: This toy contains small parts (e.g., surfboard accessory). Not suitable for children under 1 year. Adult supervision is recommended.

3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the Hippie Van.
- Using a screwdriver, loosen the screw on the battery compartment cover.
- Remove the cover.
- Insert 2 new AAA (LR03) batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery compartment cover and tighten the screw.
Note: 2 AAA batteries are included for demonstration purposes. For regular use, replace with new alkaline batteries.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
Locate the On/Off switch on the underside of the vehicle. Slide the switch to the "On" position to activate the toy. Slide to "Off" to conserve battery life.
4.2 Basic Play
- Light-Up Face Button: Press the light-up face button on the front of the van to trigger various sounds, songs, and melodies.
- Movement: Push the van along to hear additional sounds and phrases.
- Surfboard Accessory: The removable surfboard accessory can be used for imaginative role-play.
4.3 SmartPoint Interaction
The Toot-Toot Drivers Hippie Van is compatible with VTech SmartPoint play sets (sold separately). When the van drives over a SmartPoint location on a compatible play set, it will respond with unique phrases, music, and sound effects, enhancing interactive play.
