2. Battery Installation

Insert the provided CR123A battery into the ReefMaster RM-4K inner camera according to the polarity indicators. For the Sea Dragon 2000F light, install its Li battery into the light head. Ensure both batteries are fully charged before first use.

3. Memory Card Installation

The ReefMaster RM-4K camera requires a Micro SDHC memory card (up to 128GB) for storing photos and videos. This card is not included with the set and must be purchased separately. Insert the memory card into the designated slot on the inner camera before placing it into the housing.

4. Housing Preparation

Before each use, inspect the housing's O-ring seal for any debris, cracks, or damage. Clean the O-ring and its groove with a soft, lint-free cloth. Apply a thin, even layer of silicone grease (not included) to the O-ring. Place the RM-4K inner camera inside the housing. Insert a Moisture Muncher capsule next to the camera to prevent internal fogging. Close the housing securely, ensuring the "Pressure Lock" thumb screw is tightened to exert optimal pressure on the O-ring seal. Perform a dry test (without the camera) in shallow water if you are unsure about the seal.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Operation

The ReefMaster RM-4K features an intuitive 4-button control system. These buttons allow for easy navigation through menus and quick access to shooting functions. Familiarize yourself with the button layout and their respective functions before diving.

2. Photo and Video Capture

The camera captures brilliant 14-megapixel still images and vivid 4K video. Select your desired mode (photo or video) using the menu system. Press the shutter button to capture images or start/stop video recording. The 2.0" TFT color LCD display provides a clear view for framing your shots and reviewing captured content.

3. Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS)

The RM-4K camera incorporates electronic image stabilization to minimize the effects of vibration and hand movement, resulting in smoother video recordings, especially in dynamic underwater environments.

4. Using the Sea Dragon 2000F Light

The Sea Dragon 2000F light provides powerful and even illumination for your underwater photography and videography. It features three power settings to adjust brightness based on ambient light conditions and subject distance. The wide beam angle ensures maximum coverage. Simply turn the light on and adjust its intensity as needed. There is no flash or cable synchronization required with this setup.

5. Wi-Fi Sharing Ability

Utilize the SeaLife "ReefMaster" app (available for free download on Google Play Store and Apple App Store) to wirelessly preview, download, and share your captured pictures and videos to a smartphone or tablet. This feature allows for convenient post-dive review and sharing.

6. Time Lapse Function

The ReefMaster RM-4K includes a time-lapse function, allowing you to capture a series of still images at set time intervals. These can then be saved as a video file or as individual still images, ideal for documenting slow-changing underwater scenes.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning and Care

After each use, especially in saltwater, rinse the camera housing and light thoroughly with fresh water. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Allow all components to air dry completely before storage.

2. O-Ring Maintenance

The O-ring seal is critical for the housing's waterproof integrity. Regularly inspect the O-ring for any signs of wear, tears, or embedded debris. Clean it with a soft cloth and apply a thin layer of silicone grease (not included) before each dive. Replace the O-ring annually or if any damage is observed.

3. Moisture Control

Always use a Moisture Muncher capsule inside the housing with the camera to absorb any residual moisture and prevent fogging of the lens or display. Replace the capsule as needed, especially if it changes color or feels saturated.

4. Storage

Store the camera and light in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the housing is open and dry when stored for extended periods to prevent compression set on the O-ring.
