Setup and Installation
The main sit-stand workstation unit comes pre-assembled. Installation primarily involves placing the unit on your existing desk and, if desired, attaching a monitor arm.
- Placement: Place the sit-stand desk converter on a stable, flat desk surface. Ensure your existing desk has a minimum depth of 26 inches (66 cm) to accommodate the unit's footprint.
- Keyboard Tray Adjustment: The keyboard tray can be adjusted to your preferred position. Use the provided hex keys to loosen the fasteners, adjust the tray, and then securely tighten them.
- Monitor Arm Mounting (Optional): The workstation includes a grommet hole for mounting a monitor arm. Use the provided clamp plate and bolts (M10 x 50 mm or ³⁄₈ - 16 x 50 mm) to secure a compatible monitor arm. This unit supports many StarTech monitor arms, including ARMDUAL, ARMPIVOT, and ARMSLIM. Ensure the total weight of monitors and the arm does not exceed the workstation's capacity.
- Cable Management: Utilize the integrated cable management loops to organize and secure your cables, preventing tangles and ensuring smooth operation during height adjustments. The grommet hole cap also includes an entry point for additional cable routing.

Operation
The ARMSTSLG allows for effortless height adjustment using its pneumatic arm system.
- Adjusting Height: To raise or lower the workstation, locate the adjustment lever, typically on the right side of the unit. Press and hold the lever while gently guiding the work surface up or down to your desired height. Release the lever to lock the workstation in place. The height can be adjusted smoothly between 6.3 inches (160 mm) and 22 inches (560 mm) from your existing desk surface.
- Work Surface Capacity: The main work surface can support up to 28.1 lbs (12.7 kg), accommodating two monitors up to 24 inches each, or one monitor up to 30 inches. The keyboard tray has a separate weight capacity of 5 lbs.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your sit-stand desk converter, follow these general maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
- Regular Checks: Periodically inspect all bolts and connections to ensure they are secure. Tighten any loose fasteners using the provided hex keys.
- Pneumatic Arm: The pneumatic arm is designed for maintenance-free operation. If you notice a change in resistance, refer to the troubleshooting section.
Troubleshooting
- Difficulty Lifting or Lowering the Workstation:
- The pneumatic arm tension can be adjusted. Consult the full product manual for specific instructions on adjusting the tension screw. Increasing tension may make it harder to raise, while decreasing tension may require more control when lowering. Ensure the weight on the desk does not exceed the maximum capacity.
- Workstation Wobbles or is Unstable:
- Ensure the workstation is placed on a flat, stable surface. Verify that all components are securely tightened. Distribute weight evenly across the work surface. Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity.
