1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your JOINLGO 4-Channel GPS WiFi 1080P Mobile Vehicle Car DVR system, Model J2-WS. This system is designed for vehicle surveillance in trucks, buses, and fleets, offering real-time remote viewing and comprehensive recording capabilities.

3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your Mobile DVR system:

3.1. DVR Unit Connections

1. Power Connection: Connect the 5-pin power cable to the DVR unit.
2. Alarm Input: Connect the 4-CH alarm input cable for trigger signals (turn light, park, panic button).
3. Monitor Connection: Connect the monitor's VGA cable to the DVR's VGA output port. Ensure the monitor is also powered.
4. USB Devices: Insert the wireless mouse receiver into the USB slot for menu operation. The USB slot can also be used for backing up videos.
5. SD Card & SIM Card: Unlock the protective door. Insert two SD cards (do not use micro SD with adapter) and one 4G SIM card (for 4G MDVR models). Ensure the door is locked for the MDVR to function correctly.
6. Camera Connections: Plug the 4-pin camera cables into the AV IN 1/2/3/4 ports on the DVR.
7. Microphone: Connect the microphone to record audio.
8. Antenna Connections: Connect the WiFi antenna and GPS antenna tightly to their respective ports.

3.2. Camera Installation

The kit includes four IP68 waterproof cameras: two for side views, one for rear view, and one for front view (without IR LED for windshield mounting). Strategically mount these cameras on your vehicle to achieve optimal coverage. The cameras feature IR LEDs for night vision and a 2.0MP IMX323 sensor with WDR for excellent image quality day and night.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Powering On

Ensure the DVR receives 12V/24V DC power with a current higher than 1.5A. The system will display a "MobileDVR LOADING" screen upon startup.

4.2. Menu Navigation

Use the provided wireless mouse or remote controller to navigate the user-friendly graphical interface (GUI) on the 7-inch IPS monitor. The monitor has a resolution of 1024x600.

4.3. Recording Features

• Loop Record: The system supports 4-channel 1920*1080 @30fps real-time recording. It continuously records, overwriting the oldest footage when storage is full. Supports up to 2 SD cards (Max. 1TB each) and 1x 2.5" SATA SSD (Max. 4TB).
• Delay Record: Records up to 24 hours after vehicle shutdown (draws power from vehicle battery). Features an 8-second backup via built-in capacitors.
• Motion Detection: Supports motion detection with customizable alarm time and detection area.
• G-sensor: Detects sudden movements like hard acceleration, abrupt braking, speeding, and impacts, automatically saving key event footage.

4.4. Remote Viewing and Tracking

The system supports remote live view, playback, and downloading of video footage, and alarm data via the CMSV7 APP/WEB. It features a built-in GPS module for precise vehicle positioning and location recording in the video stream. Geo-fencing allows setting routes and receiving alerts on deviation.

• 4G Setup: Configure APN settings according to your SIM card. Click "APPLY" to save.
• WiFi Setup: The system supports 2.4G WiFi hotspot. Note that 4G will be idle when WiFi is connected.
• CMSV7 App: Download the CMSV7 app. The account information is on the label of the MDVR. Change the password upon first login. The app supports live view, playback, download, and tracking, and can group multiple devices under one account. If the MDVR and phone are on the same local network, use the "Find" function for fast local viewing/playback/download.

4.5. Display Modes

The 7-inch IPS monitor supports various display modes, including full-screen for individual cameras, split-screen for multiple cameras, and horizontal/vertical flip for any channel via the menu.

• Regularly check all cable connections to ensure they are secure.
• Clean camera lenses periodically with a soft, dry cloth to maintain clear image quality.
• Ensure the SD card and SIM card slots are securely locked to prevent accidental ejection or malfunction.
• Periodically back up important video footage from the SD cards or SSD to an external device.
• The durable aluminum die-cast chassis with no fan design is adaptable to various working environments.

6. Troubleshooting

• No Power: Ensure the power supply is 12V/24V DC and the current is higher than 1.5A. Check all power connections.
• No 4G Connectivity: This device does NOT support 4G LTE SIM cards. Ensure you are using a compatible 4G SIM card and that the APN settings are correctly configured in the system menu.
• MDVR Not Working: Ensure the protective door for the SD card and SIM card slots is securely locked. The MDVR will not operate if the door is open.
• Unclear Image: Check camera lens for dirt or obstructions. Ensure camera connections are secure.
• Remote Control Not Responding: Ensure the remote control is pointed directly at the IR receiver on the DVR unit. Check battery in remote.
