4.1. Main Body Assembly

  1. Begin by assembling the main firebox structure. Secure the bottom panels using the provided screws. Ensure all connections are tight.
  2. Attach the legs to the main body. Each leg is labeled (e.g., RF for Rear Front, RB for Rear Back) to guide correct placement.
  3. Install the door handle on the front access panel. One side may be pre-assembled; simply attach the handle to the remaining side and secure it with the washer and screw.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Lighting the Fire

  • Open the front access door or lift the cooking grates to add charcoal.
  • Arrange charcoal briquettes or lump charcoal in a single layer on the charcoal pan.
  • Use a charcoal chimney starter or appropriate fire starters to ignite the charcoal. Do not use gasoline or other highly volatile liquids.
  • Allow charcoal to ash over before placing food on the grates.

5.2. Temperature Control

  • Adjustable Charcoal Pan: Use the side crank handle to raise or lower the charcoal pan. Raising the pan increases heat intensity for searing, while lowering it reduces heat for slower cooking.
  • Air Vents: The side vents allow you to control airflow, which affects the burn rate and temperature of the charcoal. Open vents for higher temperatures, close them to reduce heat.
  • Lid Thermometer: Monitor the internal temperature of the grill using the integrated thermometer on the lid.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning

  • Cooking Grates: After each use, allow the grates to cool. Scrape off any food residue with a grill brush. For a deeper clean, wash with warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly.
  • Ash Pan: Regularly empty the ash pan located at the bottom of the firebox to prevent buildup and ensure proper airflow.
  • Exterior: Wipe down the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. For powder-coated surfaces, avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.

6.2. Storage

  • Store the grill in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Consider using a grill cover to protect it from the elements and extend its lifespan.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Difficulty lighting charcoal: Ensure charcoal is dry and properly arranged. Use sufficient fire starter. Check for adequate airflow through the vents.
  • Uneven heat distribution: Distribute charcoal evenly across the pan. Adjust the charcoal pan height and air vents as needed.
  • Smoke issues: Ensure vents are open for proper airflow. If excessive smoke persists, check for grease buildup or improper fuel.
