VINGLI 2-Frame Manual Honey Extractor User Manual

Model: 2 Frames | Brand: VINGLI

1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient operation, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your VINGLI 2-Frame Manual Honey Extractor. This equipment is designed for beekeepers to extract honey from honeycomb frames using centrifugal force.

2. Safety Instructions

  • Always ensure the extractor is placed on a stable, level surface before operation. Bolting the legs to a sturdy base (e.g., plywood) is recommended to minimize shaking during high-speed rotation.
  • Keep hands and loose clothing away from moving parts during operation.
  • Do not overload the frame holder. Ensure frames are balanced to prevent excessive vibration.
  • Exercise caution when rotating the crank handle. Release it slowly to avoid injury.
  • Clean the unit thoroughly with soap and water before first use and after each subsequent use to maintain hygiene and prevent contamination.
  • Keep children and pets away from the extractor during operation.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Prepare Honeycomb Frames: Before extraction, uncap the honeycomb frames. This involves removing the wax cappings from both sides of the frame to expose the honey.
  2. Load Frames: Carefully place up to two uncapped honeycomb frames into the inner basket of the extractor. Ensure the frames are balanced to prevent excessive wobbling during spinning.
  3. Secure Lids: Close the clear plexiglass lids securely.
  4. Begin Extraction: Turn the manual crank handle steadily. Start with a slow speed and gradually increase it. The centrifugal force will cause the honey to be flung out of the cells and onto the inner walls of the drum.
  5. Flip Frames (Optional): For thorough extraction, you may stop the spinning, carefully open the lids, flip the frames, and then resume spinning.
  6. Collect Honey: Once the honey has been extracted, open the honey gate valve at the bottom of the drum. Position a bucket or container with a filter underneath to collect the honey.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Excessive wobbling/shaking during operationUnbalanced frames; unstable base; loose bolts.Ensure frames are evenly loaded and balanced. Place the extractor on a level surface. Bolt the legs to a sturdy base (e.g., plywood) if possible. Tighten all assembly bolts.
Honey not flowing from gateHoney gate clogged; honey too cold/viscous.Check for obstructions in the honey gate. Ensure honey is at an appropriate temperature for flow (warmer honey flows more easily).
Crank handle stiff or difficult to turnLack of lubrication; debris in gear mechanism.Clean the gear mechanism and apply food-grade lubricant. Check for any foreign objects obstructing movement.
