4. Setup and Installation

Installation typically takes 10 to 15 minutes. Follow these steps for proper mounting:

  1. Determine Desired Angle: Choose the appropriate bracket (20°, 30°, or 40°) based on your viewing needs. For a 50° angle, combine the 20° and 30° brackets.
  2. Position the Bracket: Hold the chosen bracket(s) against the wall at the desired installation location. Mark the screw holes.
  3. Drill Pilot Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. If installing into masonry or stucco, insert the plastic screw holders (wall anchors) into the pilot holes.
  4. Mount the Bracket: Secure the bracket(s) to the wall using the appropriate screws (3.5x25mm for wall mounting).
  5. Attach Ring Doorbell Pro: Mount your Ring Video Doorbell Pro onto the installed bracket using the smaller screws (3x12mm or 3x8mm, depending on the specific mounting points). Ensure the doorbell is securely fastened.

5. Operating the Angle Adjustment

The primary function of this bracket is to adjust the viewing angle of your Ring Video Doorbell Pro. By selecting the appropriate bracket or combination, you can direct the camera's view to cover specific areas, such as a pathway, gate, or to avoid obstructions like a wall or pillar.

  • 20°, 30°, 40° Brackets: Use individually for a direct angle adjustment.
  • 50° Angle: Combine the 20° and 30° brackets for a wider angle adjustment.

6. Maintenance

The HOLACA Doorbell Bracket Mount requires minimal maintenance. To ensure longevity and appearance:

  • Periodically wipe the bracket with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and dirt.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these may damage the plastic material.
  • Inspect the mounting screws annually to ensure they remain tight and secure.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Bracket does not fit Ring Video Doorbell Pro: Double-check that your doorbell is indeed the 'Ring Video Doorbell Pro' model. This bracket is not compatible with other Ring doorbell models (e.g., 1st Gen, 2nd Gen, Pro 2).
  • Screws not holding securely / bosses breaking: Ensure you are not overtightening the screws, especially when attaching the doorbell to the bracket. The plastic material can be damaged by excessive force. If mounting into soft material, use appropriate wall anchors.
  • Doorbell wobbles after installation: Verify that all screws are tightened appropriately and that the bracket is flush against the mounting surface. If the surface is uneven (e.g., bumpy stucco), consider using a sealant to fill gaps and provide additional stability.
