Setup

  1. Unpack the Timer: Carefully remove the timer from its packaging.
  2. Choose a Location: Select a suitable outdoor location that is protected from direct heavy rain and is easily accessible. Ensure the timer is positioned so that the rain-tight cover can be properly closed.
  3. Plug in the Timer: Connect the timer's 3-prong plug into a grounded outdoor electrical outlet.
  4. Connect Your Appliance: Plug the appliance you wish to control into the 3-prong grounded outlet on the timer. Ensure the appliance is rated within the timer's 15 Amp capacity.

Operating Instructions

Setting the Current Time:

  1. Rotate the entire timer dial clockwise until the current time aligns with the arrow indicator located at the top of the dial.
  2. Note that the dial has 24-hour markings. "AM" hours are typically on the left side (e.g., 1-12), and "PM" hours are on the right side (e.g., 1-12). Ensure you set the correct AM/PM time.

Programming ON/OFF Times:

The timer features non-removable pins around the dial. Each pin represents a 30-minute interval. To program, push the pins down for the desired "ON" periods and leave them up for the "OFF" periods.

  1. Identify the time segments on the dial where you want your appliance to turn ON.
  2. Push down all the pins corresponding to these "ON" time segments. For example, if you want the appliance ON from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, push down the pins from 6 PM to 10 PM.
  3. Leave the pins in the "UP" position for the times you want the appliance to be OFF.
  4. The minimum time setting for an ON or OFF period is 30 minutes (one pin).
  5. The timer allows for up to 48 ON/OFF settings per day.

Using the Manual Override Switch:

The manual override switch allows you to temporarily turn the connected appliance ON or OFF, bypassing the programmed settings, without disturbing the timer's current time or program.

  • To turn the appliance ON manually, move the switch to the "ON" position.
  • To turn the appliance OFF manually, move the switch to the "OFF" position.
  • To return to programmed operation, move the switch back to the "TIMER" position.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Disconnect the timer from the power source before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse in water.
  • Storage: If storing the timer for an extended period, ensure it is clean and dry. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the power cord and plug for any signs of damage. If damage is found, discontinue use and replace the unit.
