4. Setup

4.1 Attaching a Microphone

1. Identify the mounting thread on your microphone or shock mount. The NW-088 features a 3/8" screw.
2. If your microphone mount requires a 5/8" thread, use the included 3/8" to 5/8" adapter by screwing it onto the boom pole's 3/8" screw.
3. Carefully screw your microphone or shock mount onto the appropriate thread at the top of the boom pole until secure.

4.2 Connecting the XLR Cable

1. Connect the male XLR plug from the internal cable at the top of the boom pole into your microphone's XLR input.
2. Connect an external XLR cable (not included) to the female XLR socket located at the bottom of the boom pole.
3. Route the external XLR cable to your audio recorder, mixer, or camera.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Adjusting Length

1. To extend a section, twist the locking collar counter-clockwise to loosen it.
2. Gently pull the section outwards to the desired length.
3. Twist the locking collar clockwise to tighten and secure the section. Ensure it is firmly locked to prevent slippage.
4. Repeat for all necessary sections until the desired overall length is achieved.

5.2 Handling
