3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install your Waterdrop WD-C12 coffee water filter:

  1. Prepare the Filter: Remove the new filter from its packaging. Rinse the filter under cold tap water for 15 seconds to remove any loose carbon particles.
  2. Locate Filter Holder: Refer to your coffeemaker's manual to locate the water filter holder, typically found in the water reservoir.
  3. Insert Filter: Place the rinsed filter into the designated filter holder. Ensure it is seated securely for a leak-free fit. No special tools are required for installation.
  4. Fill Reservoir: Fill the coffeemaker's water reservoir with fresh water.
  5. Initial Flush (Optional but Recommended): Run one or two brewing cycles with just water (no coffee grounds) to further flush the filter and ensure optimal performance. Discard this water.

  • Unusual Taste in Coffee: If your coffee tastes off, the filter may need replacement. Ensure the filter is correctly installed and that the initial flush cycle was performed.
  • Filter Not Fitting: Double-check the compatibility list in Section 2 to ensure you have the correct filter for your coffeemaker model.
