3. Product Overview

3.1 Transmitter Unit (Main Unit)

4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your HDMI Splitter Extender system:

  1. Connect HDMI Source: Connect your HDMI source device (e.g., PC, DVD player, TV Box) to the HDMI IN port of the main transmitter unit using a high-quality HDMI cable.
  2. Connect Cat5e/Cat6 Cables: Connect up to four Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet cables from the Cat6 OUT ports of the main transmitter unit to the Cat6 IN ports of each receiver unit. Ensure direct connections; intermediate network switches are not supported for signal transmission.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Operation

Once all connections are made and power is supplied, the system operates automatically. The HDMI signal from your source will be split and extended to all connected displays. No software or drivers are required for basic functionality.

5.2 EDID Function

The EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) function allows the transmitter to learn the optimal resolution and display settings from the connected display. 5.4 POC Function

Power over Cable (POC) simplifies installation by allowing the receiver units to draw power directly from the main transmitter unit through the Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet cable. This eliminates the need for separate power adapters at each receiver location.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Intermittent Signal/Picture Flickering:
    • Check the quality and integrity of your Cat5e/Cat6 cables. Damaged or low-quality cables can cause signal degradation.
    • Ensure the cable length does not exceed the maximum recommended distance (60m/196ft).
    • Verify that the power adapter is providing stable power to the main unit.
  • Compatibility Issues (e.g., with ATEM Switcher):
    • Some specialized video equipment, like certain ATEM switchers, may have specific signal requirements that might not be fully compatible with all HDMI extenders. Ensure the output signal from your source is standard HDMI 1080P@60Hz.
    • Try connecting the source directly to the display to confirm the source output is functional.
