4. Setup
4.1 Charging the Battery
- Locate the micro-USB charging port on the side of the headlamp.
- Open the rubber cover protecting the port.
- Connect the micro-USB charging cable to the headlamp and to any USB compatible power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter, power bank).
- The charging indicator will show the charging status.
- Once fully charged, disconnect the cable and securely close the rubber cover to maintain water resistance.
4.2 Attaching and Adjusting the Headband
- Thread the provided headband through the attachment points on the headlamp.
- Adjust the length of the headband to ensure a comfortable and secure fit around your head.
- The headlamp can also be detached from the headband for alternative mounting options, such as clipping onto a hat brim.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off and Brightness Adjustment (White Light)
- To turn on the white light, press and hold the main power button (usually marked with a power symbol) for approximately 1 second.
- Once on, short press the main power button repeatedly to cycle through brightness levels: Ultra-low → Low → Mid → High.
- To turn off, press and hold the main power button for approximately 1 second.
5.2 Activating Auxiliary Lights (Red & High CRI)
- To activate the auxiliary lights, press and hold the auxiliary light button (usually marked with 'R' or a similar symbol) for approximately 1 second.
- Short press the auxiliary light button repeatedly to cycle through modes: Red Light → High CRI Light → Red Caution Light (flashing).
- To turn off, press and hold the auxiliary light button for approximately 1 second.
5.3 Special Modes (SOS & Beacon)
- With the white light off, double-press the main power button to activate the Turbo mode.
- From Turbo mode, double-press the main power button again to cycle through SOS → Beacon modes.
- To exit special modes, short press the main power button.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the headlamp with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Storage: Store the headlamp in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Water Resistance: The NU25 has an IP66 rating, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and powerful water jets. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed to maintain water resistance.
7. Troubleshooting
- Light not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the headlamp to a power source to charge.
- Dim light output: The battery may be low. Recharge the headlamp.
- Intermittent operation: Check the charging port for debris and ensure the cable is securely connected during charging.
