4. Setup

4.1 Connecting the Cable

The FiiO FH1 features a detachable cable design for versatility and easy replacement. To connect the cable:

  1. Identify the left (L) and right (R) earpieces and cable connectors. The earpieces are typically marked with 'L' and 'R'. The cable connectors often have color indicators (e.g., blue for left, red for right) or tactile bumps.
  2. Align the cable connector with the corresponding port on the earpiece. Ensure the pins are correctly oriented.
  3. Gently push the connector straight into the earpiece port until it clicks securely into place. Do not force the connection.

4.2 Choosing and Attaching Ear Tips

Selecting the correct ear tips is crucial for sound quality and comfort. Experiment with the included ear tips to find the best fit for your ears.

  1. Gently pull off the pre-installed ear tips from the nozzle of the earpiece.
  2. Select a pair of ear tips that provide a snug, comfortable seal in your ear canal. A good seal enhances bass response and noise isolation.
  3. Push the chosen ear tip onto the earpiece nozzle until it is securely seated.

4.3 Wearing the Earphones

The FiiO FH1 earphones are designed for an over-ear fit, which provides better stability and reduces microphonics (cable noise).

  1. Identify the left and right earpieces.
  2. Place the earpiece into your ear canal.
  3. Loop the cable over the top of your ear, guiding it downwards behind your ear. The pre-formed ear hooks on the cable help maintain this position.
  4. Adjust the earpiece and cable for a comfortable and secure fit.
