It features advanced 3D flame effects, customizable flame colors and speeds, and a powerful quartz infrared heater capable of warming areas up to 1,000 square feet. The included trim kit ensures a finished look when installed.

Important Safety Information

WARNING: Read all instructions before using this appliance. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or personal injury.

• Always plug the unit directly into a wall outlet. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap.
• Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
• Do not use outdoors. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas, and similar indoor locations.
• Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and away from the sides and rear.
• Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
• To disconnect the heater, turn controls to OFF, then remove the plug from the outlet.
• Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
• To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.

Setup and Installation

Unpacking

Carefully remove the electric insert and trim kit from the packaging. Inspect all components for any damage that may have occurred during shipping. Retain all packaging materials for future storage or if the unit needs to be returned.

Installation

The ClassicFlame 28-inch electric insert is designed for easy conversion of existing wood or gas fireplaces, or for installation into a new wall or mantel cabinet. The trim kit (BBKIT-28) is used to cover the spacing gap between the firebox and the opening, providing a uniform, finished appearance.

Important: When installing into an existing masonry fireplace, ensure the firebox will not sit off your hearth. A minimum clearance of 2.375 inches is required to compensate for the lower portion of the trim. This also ensures proper ventilation to the intake vents.

Installation Steps:

1. Ensure the power outlet is easily accessible and meets the electrical requirements (120V AC, 60Hz, 15 Amp circuit).
2. Carefully slide the electric insert into the prepared opening. Ensure it is level and securely seated.
3. Attach the black trim kit around the edges of the insert, following the instructions provided with the trim kit, to create a seamless and finished look.
4. Plug the power cord into a grounded 3-prong outlet.

The electric insert features realistic resin cast logs and 3D flame effects that provide the illusion of a real burning fire, whether the heat function is active or not.

Operation

Controls

Your ClassicFlame electric insert can be operated using the multi-function remote control or the control panel located on the unit itself.

Remote Control Functions:

• Power Button: Turns the unit ON or OFF.
• Flame Color Button: Cycles through 5 flame colors.
• Flame Speed Button: Adjusts 5 flame speeds.
