Setup

1. Powering On/Off

Locate the On/Off switch on the bottom of the mouse. Slide the switch to the ON position to power on the mouse. Slide it to the OFF position when not in use to conserve battery.

3. Connecting to Your Computer

The MX Anywhere 2S offers two connection methods: the Logitech Unifying Receiver or Bluetooth Low Energy. You can pair the mouse with up to three different devices and switch between them.

3.1. Using the Logitech Unifying Receiver

  1. Plug the Logitech Unifying Receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  2. Power on the mouse.
  3. Press the Easy-Switch button on the bottom of the mouse to select an available channel (1, 2, or 3). The selected channel's LED will blink rapidly, indicating pairing mode.
  4. The mouse should automatically connect to the Unifying Receiver. If not, download and run the Logitech Unifying Software from Logitech Support to complete the pairing process.

3.2. Using Bluetooth Low Energy

  1. Ensure your computer has Bluetooth Low Energy capability.
  2. Power on the mouse.
  3. Press the Easy-Switch button on the bottom of the mouse to select an available channel (1, 2, or 3). The selected channel's LED will blink rapidly, indicating pairing mode.
  4. On your computer, open Bluetooth settings:
    • Windows: Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices. Click "Add Bluetooth or other device" and select "Bluetooth".
    • Mac: Go to System Preferences > Bluetooth.
  5. Select "MX Anywhere 2S" from the list of available devices and follow any on-screen prompts to complete pairing.

2. Hyper-Fast Scrolling

The MX Anywhere 2S features a dual-mode scroll wheel.

Press the button directly below the scroll wheel to switch between these two modes.

3. Multi-Computer Control with Logitech Flow

Logitech Flow, available through Logitech Options software, enables seamless control of up to three computers with a single MX Anywhere 2S mouse.

  1. Ensure Logitech Options software is installed and running on all computers you wish to use with Flow.
  2. Connect your MX Anywhere 2S to each computer using a different Easy-Switch channel (1, 2, or 3).
  3. Open Logitech Options on each computer and enable Flow.
  4. Arrange your computer screens virtually within the Flow settings.
  5. You can now move your mouse cursor across screens and even copy/paste text and files between computers.

4. Darkfield High Precision Tracking

The Darkfield sensor allows the MX Anywhere 2S to track on virtually any surface, including glass (minimum 4mm thickness), high-gloss surfaces, and fabric, where standard optical or laser mice may struggle. This eliminates the need for a mouse pad in most situations.
