1. Introduction
The FLUENTPOWER 3/4HP Sump Pump is a robust and efficient submersible pump designed for various water transfer applications. Its stainless steel construction ensures durability and effective cooling. This manual provides essential information for the safe and proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your pump.
2. Safety Information
Please read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before operating the pump. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, serious injury, or property damage.
- Always disconnect the pump from the power source before performing any maintenance or adjustments.
- Ensure the power outlet is properly grounded and protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI).
- Do not operate the pump with a damaged cord or plug.
- Do not use the pump to transfer flammable or corrosive liquids.
- Keep children and pets away from the pump during operation.
- The pump is equipped with thermal protection to prevent motor burnout. If the pump triggers the thermal overload protector, it will automatically restart after cooling down.
- Ensure the pump is fully submerged in water during operation to prevent overheating, especially in manual mode.
3. Package Contents
- FLUENTPOWER 3/4HP Sump Pump

4. Setup
- Placement: Place the pump in the desired location for water drainage. Ensure the pit or area is at least 16 inches by 16 inches for optimal operation.
- Hose Connection: Select the appropriate adapter (GHT 3/4", NPT 1", or 1.5" male thread) for your discharge hose. Screw the chosen adapter securely onto the pump's discharge port. For maximum flow rate, use the 1.5" male thread adapter with the largest possible outlet diameter (up to 1-1/2 inches) that fits your hose.
- Submerging the Pump: Before plugging in, tilt and submerge the pump into the water for a few seconds to expel any trapped air inside the pump. This primes the pump for efficient operation.
- Power Connection: Once the pump is properly positioned and the hose is connected, plug the 26.2 ft power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

5. Operating Modes
The FLUENTPOWER Sump Pump offers both automatic and manual operation modes, controlled by the integrated float switch.
5.1 Automatic Operation
In automatic mode, the pump's ON/OFF function is controlled by the float switch. When the water level rises above 15-20 inches, the pump will automatically start. It will stop working when the water level reaches the stop-level of 6 inches.
5.2 Manual Operation
For situations where the water level is too low for the float switch to operate freely, or if continuous pumping is desired, the pump can be manually controlled. To activate manual mode, simply attach the float switch to its side slot on the pump. In this mode, the pump will run continuously and will not turn off automatically. It can remove water down to 2 inches. Important: Remember to cut off the power immediately once the desired water level is reached to prevent the motor from running dry and potentially burning out.

7. Applications
This FLUENTPOWER Sump Pump is versatile and suitable for a wide range of water removal tasks, including:
- Draining flooded basements or cellars
- Emptying garden ponds
- Draining hot tubs and swimming pools
- Transferring water for irrigation in gardens
- Removing water from muddy pits (solids less than 1.4 inches)

8. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pump.
- Cleaning: Periodically inspect the pump's intake screen and impeller for debris. Clean any accumulated dirt or foreign objects to prevent clogging and maintain efficient water flow.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, clean the pump thoroughly, drain all water, and store it in a dry, frost-free location.
- Sealing Structure: The pump features an upgraded sealing structure designed for extended life. Avoid disassembling the pump unless specifically instructed by a qualified technician.
9. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your pump, refer to the following common problems and their solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pump does not start | No power; Float switch not activated (in auto mode); Impeller jammed | Check power connection and GFCI; Ensure float switch is free to move or switch to manual mode; Disconnect power and clear any obstructions from the impeller. |
| Low water flow | Hose kinked or clogged; Intake screen blocked; Air trapped in pump | Check and clear hose; Clean intake screen; Tilt pump to expel air. |
| Pump runs continuously (in auto mode) | Float switch stuck in ON position; Float switch attached for manual operation | Check float switch for obstructions; Detach float switch from side slot for automatic operation. |
| Pump stops unexpectedly | Thermal overload activated; Water level too low (in auto mode) | Allow pump to cool down; Ensure water level is above the minimum start level for auto mode. |
