AutoPot 2Pot XL System
AutoPot 2Pot XL System User Manual
Model: 2Pot XL System
Introduction
This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your AutoPot 2Pot XL System. The AutoPot system is a gravity-fed, self-watering hydroponic solution designed to provide plants with water and nutrients on demand, without the need for electricity, pumps, or timers. This system promotes efficient water and nutrient usage, leading to robust plant growth.

Setup Instructions
- Reservoir Placement: Position the 12.4-gallon reservoir at a higher elevation than the plant pots. This ensures gravity-fed water delivery.
- Grommet and Filter Installation: Drill a hole (if not pre-drilled) near the base of the reservoir and insert the 1/4" Top Hat Grommet. Insert the 1/4" Golf Filter into the grommet from inside the reservoir.
- Pipe Connection: Connect one end of the 1/4" pipe to the Golf Filter. Run the pipe to the location of your plant pots.
- AQUAvalve Assembly: Place a Marix Disc at the bottom of each AQUAvalve Tray. Position an AQUAvalve5 on top of each Marix Disc.
- Pot Preparation: Place a Root Control Disc at the bottom of each 6.6-gallon pot. Fill the pots with your chosen growing medium (e.g., coco coir, perlite, soil).
- Pot Placement: Place each prepared pot into its respective AQUAvalve Tray.
- Connecting Pots to Main Line: Use the 1/4" Cross Connector to branch the main 1/4" pipe to each AQUAvalve. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent leaks. An inline tap can be used to isolate individual pots if needed.
- Initial Filling: Fill the reservoir with water and your chosen nutrient solution. Allow the system to fill the AQUAvalve trays.

Operating Instructions
The AutoPot system operates automatically once set up. The AQUAvalve controls the water flow to the pots, ensuring plants receive water and nutrients as needed.
- Nutrient Solution: Prepare your nutrient solution according to the manufacturer's instructions and fill the reservoir. Monitor the pH and EC/TDS levels regularly.
- Reservoir Monitoring: Check the reservoir level periodically. Refill before it becomes completely empty to ensure continuous supply to your plants.
- Plant Establishment: For young plants or seedlings, it is recommended to hand-water for the first 7-10 days until the root system is established and reaches the bottom of the pot, allowing the AQUAvalve to function optimally.
- System Flow: The AQUAvalve will fill the tray to a depth of 20mm and then close. Once the plants have consumed all the water and nutrients, the valve will reopen to refill the tray. This wet/dry cycle is crucial for healthy root development.

Maintenance
- Regular Cleaning: Periodically clean the reservoir and pipes to prevent algae growth and nutrient buildup. This is especially important between growing cycles.
- AQUAvalve Inspection: Inspect the AQUAvalve regularly for any debris or blockages. Disassemble and clean if necessary. Ensure the silicone seal is free from damage.
- Filter Cleaning: Clean the Golf Filter inside the reservoir to ensure unrestricted water flow.
- Pipe Integrity: Check all pipe connections for leaks or kinks. Replace any damaged sections of pipe.
- End of Cycle: At the end of a growing cycle, thoroughly clean all components with a mild sterilizing solution before storing or reusing.
