    • Remove the water tank from the steamer unit.
    • Open the water tank cap.
    • Fill the tank with distilled or de-mineralized water up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill. Using tap water may lead to mineral buildup over time.
    • Close the cap securely and reattach the water tank to the steamer unit.
  2. Attach Accessories (Optional):
    • If using the delicate fabric guard, attach it to the steam nozzle.
    • For collars or cuffs, use the collar press.
    • The folding hanger can be used to hang garments while steaming.
    • The water bottle adapter allows you to use a standard water bottle as a reservoir when traveling light.
  3. Plug In: Insert the power plug into a suitable electrical outlet (230V).

6. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Press the power button. The indicator light will illuminate, and the steamer will begin to heat up. It heats up in approximately 45 seconds.
  2. Select Steam Mode: The Fridja F10 features dual modes: full power and eco mode. Select the desired mode based on your fabric and steaming needs.
  3. Start Steaming:
    • Once the steamer is ready (indicator light may change or stop blinking), press the steam trigger to release steam.
    • For continuous steam, slide the continuous steam button into the locked position.
  4. Steaming Garments:
    • Hold the garment taut with one hand.
    • Hold the steamer with the other hand, keeping the steam nozzle a few inches away from the fabric.
    • Move the steamer slowly up and down the fabric, allowing the steam to penetrate and relax the fibers.
    • For stubborn wrinkles, gently press the heated plate against the fabric while steaming.
    • The steamer is safe for all garments, including delicate fabrics like silk, velvet, wool, cotton, linen, nylon, suits, dresses, and wedding dresses. Use the delicate fabric guard for extra protection.
  5. Steaming Soft Furnishings: The steamer can also be used to refresh curtains, bedding, sofas, and mattresses. Hold the steamer close to the fabric and move it slowly. The high temperature steam helps to kill bacteria and refresh fabrics.
  6. Power Off: When finished, press the power button to turn off the steamer. Unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet.

7. Maintenance and Care

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your steamer.

  1. Empty Water Tank: After each use, always empty any remaining water from the tank. This prevents mineral buildup and bacterial growth.
  2. Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the steamer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  3. Descaling (if necessary): If you notice reduced steam output or mineral residue, descaling may be required.
    • Mix a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% distilled water.
    • Fill the water tank with this solution up to the MIN line.
    • Plug in the steamer and allow it to heat up.
    • Steam the solution until the tank is empty.
    • Repeat the process with clean distilled water to rinse out any vinegar residue.
  4. Storage: Store the steamer in its carry bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Ensure the steamer is completely cool before storing.
