3. Product Overview
3.1. Front & Side Panel
Familiarize yourself with the buttons and slots on the front and side panels of your receiver.

- POWER button: To turn the device on or off.
- Exit button: To exit menus or return to the previous screen.
- Menu button: To access the main menu.
- OK button: To confirm selections.
- USB: For connecting storage devices (e.g., USB flash drives for recording) or a USB WiFi Antenna.
- Buttons for program lists & volume: Navigate through channels or adjust volume.
- LED display: Shows current channel number or time.

3.2. Connections on the Back Panel

- ANT IN: DVB-T2/C tuner input to receive terrestrial or cable channels.
- LNB IN: DVB-S2 tuner input to receive satellite channels.

4. Remote Control
The EDISION PICCOLLO S2+T2/C comes with a 2in1 Universal Remote Control (EDI-RCU 2 Learn Slim) that can control both the receiver and your TV.

4.1. Key Functions
- POWER (STB): Turns the receiver on/off.
- POWER (TV): Turns the TV on/off.
- VOL+/-: Adjusts volume.
- CH+/-: Changes channels.
- OK: Confirms selections, displays channel list.
- MENU: Accesses the main menu.
- EXIT: Exits current menu or screen.
- INFO: Displays program information.
- EPG: Electronic Program Guide.
- REC: Starts recording (requires USB storage).
- Media: Accesses media player.
4.2. Programming TV Functions
The remote is pre-programmed with the 5 most important functions for SAMSUNG and LG TVs. You can program these 5 buttons (TV POWER, VOL+, VOL-, TV/AV, BACK) as you wish for other TV brands.
- Press and hold the [SET] button (usually located at the top right of the TV control section) for 6 seconds until the LED light stays on.
- Press the button on the EDI-RCU 2 remote that you wish to program (e.g., TV POWER). The LED will flash slowly.
- Point your original TV remote control directly at the EDI-RCU 2 remote (infrared sensors facing each other, about 2-3 cm apart).
- Press and hold the corresponding button on your original TV remote (e.g., TV POWER). The LED on the EDI-RCU 2 will flash 3 times quickly, indicating successful learning.
- Repeat steps 2-4 for any other buttons you wish to program.
- Press the [SET] button again to save the settings and exit programming mode. The LED will turn off.
5. Initial Setup
Follow these steps to connect your EDISION PICCOLLO S2+T2/C receiver and perform the initial setup.
5.1. Connecting the Receiver
- Power Off: Ensure your TV and the receiver are turned off before making any connections.
- Antenna/Satellite/Cable Connection:
- For Terrestrial (DVB-T2) or Cable (DVB-C): Connect your antenna or cable TV signal to the ANT IN port on the back of the receiver.
- For Satellite (DVB-S2): Connect your satellite dish LNB cable to the LNB IN port on the back of the receiver.
- TV Connection:
- For High Definition: Connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI port on the receiver to an available HDMI input on your TV.
- For Standard Definition: Connect RCA cables (Yellow for Video, White for Left Audio, Red for Right Audio) from the RCA ports on the receiver to the corresponding inputs on your TV.
- Network Connection (Optional): Connect an Ethernet cable from the Ethernet port on the receiver to your router or network switch for internet access and online features.
- USB Storage (Optional): If you plan to record programs or use multimedia features, connect a USB storage device (e.g., USB flash drive or external hard drive) to one of the USB ports.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cable to the receiver and then plug it into a wall outlet. Ensure the main power switch on the back of the receiver is in the OFF position before plugging it in.
5.2. First Time Installation Wizard
After connecting all cables, turn on your TV and select the correct HDMI or AV input. Then, turn on the receiver using the main power switch on the back, and then the POWER button on the front panel or remote control. The First Time Installation Wizard should appear.
- Language Selection: Select your preferred language for the on-screen display.
- Region/Time Zone: Set your region and time zone.
- Tuner Configuration:
- For DVB-S2: Select your satellite (e.g., Astra 19.2E), LNB type, and DiSEqC settings if applicable.
- For DVB-T2/C: Select your country and scan type (Antenna or Cable).
- Channel Scan: Initiate an automatic channel scan. This process may take several minutes. Do not turn off the receiver during the scan.
- Save & Exit: Once the scan is complete, save the settings and exit the wizard. Your receiver is now ready for use.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Basic Operation
- Channel Switching: Use the CH+/- buttons on the remote control to change channels. You can also enter the channel number directly using the numeric keypad.
- Volume Adjustment: Use the VOL+/- buttons to adjust the audio volume.
- Mute: Press the MUTE button to temporarily silence the audio.
- Program Information: Press the INFO button to display current program details, including title, time, and channel.
- Main Menu: Press the MENU button to access system settings, channel management, multimedia, and other features.
6.2. Channel Management
- Channel List: Press OK to view the channel list. You can filter channels by type (TV/Radio), satellite, or favorites.
- Favorite Lists: Create custom favorite lists for quick access to your preferred channels. Navigate to Menu > Channel Manager > Favorite List.
- Channel Editing: You can move, delete, or lock channels. Access these options via Menu > Channel Manager > Channel Edit.
6.3. Recording and Multimedia
To use recording and multimedia features, a USB storage device must be connected and formatted by the receiver (Menu > System > USB Disk Manager > Format).
- Instant Recording: Press the REC button on the remote control to start recording the current program. Press STOP to end the recording.
- Scheduled Recording (Timer): Use the EPG (Electronic Program Guide) to schedule recordings. Select a program in the EPG and press the REC button to set a timer. Alternatively, go to Menu > Timer Setting.
- Timeshift: Enable Timeshift in the settings (Menu > System > PVR Setting) to pause live TV. Press PAUSE during live viewing.
- Media Player: Access recorded programs, videos, music, and photos from your USB device via Menu > Multimedia > USB Media.
6.4. Network Features (Optional)
If connected to the internet via Ethernet or a USB WiFi adapter, your receiver supports various online applications.
- Network Setup: Configure network settings via Menu > Network Setting. Choose between Wired (Ethernet) or Wireless (Wi-Fi) connection.
- Applications: Access supported applications such as YouTube, RSS, Weather, Google Maps, FTP, Web-TV, DLNA, and Big2Small (streaming TV programs to mobile devices). Navigate to Menu > Applications.
- Software Upgrade: Perform online software upgrades via Menu > System > Software Upgrade > Network Upgrade to ensure your receiver has the latest features and bug fixes.
