Figure 4: Close-up of the receiver's rear panel showing input/output ports. From left to right: two ANT IN (antenna) ports, HDMI output, R-out (right audio), L-out (left audio), and Video output.

  1. Power Connection: Connect the provided power cable to the receiver's power input and to your vehicle's 12V/24V power supply. Ensure proper polarity.
  2. Antenna Connection: Connect the two DVB-T2 antennas to the "ANT IN" ports on the receiver's rear panel. Ensure they are securely fastened. The receiver provides 5V phantom power for active antennas, which can be switched off if not needed.
  3. Audio/Video Output:

    • For HDMI input displays: Connect an HDMI cable (not included) from the receiver's HDMI output to the HDMI input on your car display.
  4. IR Remote Connection: Connect the infrared (IR) cable to the designated IR port on the receiver. Position the IR eye in a location where it has a clear line of sight to the remote control.
  5. Optional USB Connection: If you plan to use the USB media playback feature, you can connect a USB storage device to the USB port.

3.2 Antenna Placement

For optimal reception, position the DVB-T2 antennas in a location that minimizes obstructions and interference. Experiment with different placements to find the best signal strength, typically on windows or non-metallic surfaces.
